Thanks to crappy previous owners, rotting wood and the high winds i need to replace my fences. Dont want to spent loads and the overlap style are fine

I need about 6 6'x4' and 13 6'x3' fences.
At the moment Wickes look cheap and they offer bulk discounts plus free del over £300

Where else should i look? Jewsons need full details for enquiry so need to go measure up exactly

I put 3 6'x6' up last year from selco which are now about £11+vat each. However i also had a van then to collect them back then.

Current style

Don't understand? Are you complaining that your previous owners put up cheap fencing then you are looking at the cheapest you can find?

No the fences are fit for purpose. The previous posts were literally in 10cm of soil or on a spike which was half out the ground.

You could maybe try your local fencing supplier. They might price match Wickes and give you free delivery if its fairly local. Wickes is pretty cheap, but their delivery is expensive at £35 or so.

Wickes do sometimes have 3 for 2 deals on fence panels in the summer.

These type of fences are utterly useless though, especially the ultra cheap ones. They will be obliterated in high winds and tend to just rot away no matter how much preservative you apply.

This is out my back garden. My fence still standing is bottom and there's 5 different fences over to the right all blown down.

Decent post and rail and feather edge board is the only way to go.

Costs £30 odd a meter.

The 3 I put up stood up to the high winds. Postcrete and 50cm deep holes.

Anyway I don't plan to be there forever and it's a 40m long garden

I'm more worried about the other side. The nice privet hedge seems to be dying very quickly and travelling about 5m a year :s

we got a few from Shedstore which wasn't bad, there were cheaper but availability and delivery wise (for a small order) it worked out the best bet...

Don't get Jewsons stuff, the rubbish the last owner put in was jewsons and the posts have rotted through in 6 years :(

Absolutely - my garden fence has been up for 33 years, it's the original (confirmed by one of the neighbours) Timber posts, cant rails, closeboarded. It hasn't had any maintenance (not even preservative or paint) for at least the last 10 years.
The posts are still very secure, the boards are all in good condition barring one or two split ones, but the cant rails are all rotten so they're being swapped in the next few weeks.
Can't wait to sit there and prise off every board, I really can't.
