People should probably watch this to get a broader idea of what this particular police force is like:
Not outrageous at all if the police office considered him a threat.
+1
Why doesn't this happen when a white crim gets killed ?
All this crap along with religious wars makes me want to move to a desert island and hide as this world is so pathetic.
The real issue is not his race or what he was up to, but the fact that an unarmed man was shot from the front six times; outrageous.
Because he lived in an area where racial tension is an issue, sadly.
The issue is really the belief that had Michael Brown been white the policeman wouldn't have been so trigger happy. Being black is effectively counted as an aggravating factor when deciding on whether to use maximum force.
black cop shot bad black man = ok
black cop shot bad white man = ok
white cop shot bad white man = ok
white cop shot bad black man = riot
thats what happening right now
How many bullets do you need to stop someone? One in the head? They hit him twice in the head.
We have very few armed police in this country (thank ****), and they manage to arrest shoplifters without killing them. Talk about disproportionate.
At the end of the day....
He was just a kid. He had just turned 18.
He had graduated a few days before
He didn't have a gun.
The cop didn't try to help him after he was shot.
The cop didn't call an ambulance.
The cop didn't even call it in - the emergency calls to the police cam from witnesses.
Most importantly - the reports from the police (specifically from the police chief) have changed considerably a number of times over the last few days.
Firstly he stated a shot was fired in the car.
They stated there wasn't any connection between the robbery and the shooting - then hours later he said the cop spotted the cigars in his hand and thought he might be the robber (even though he had no knowledge of the robbery at that point)
The body lay in the road for several hours - with his own mother unable to get near him & officers threatening to arrest her because she was histerical.
The whole incident stinks and hopefully the FBI will get the truth and finally get the place to calm down a bit once the real story is told.
Does anyone else have an issue with the cop being named? They've just made him into a target without any proof it was racial/excessive.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-28841715Eye witnesses have changed their story after autopsy revealed he was not shot in the back.
Tiffany Mitchell, another eyewitness, recalled a similar narrative in an interview on CNN. She said that Mr Brown briefly struggled with Mr Wilson while he was still seated in the police car. During the struggle, Ms Mitchell says that the officer shot his gun through the window. Following the first gunshot, Mr Brown ran down the street, and the officer got out of his vehicle and shot again, alleges Ms Mitchell.
"Michael jerks his body as if he's hit and he turns around and faces the officer with his hands up," she said. "And the officer continues to shoot him until he goes down to the ground."
35ft is a long distance for an unarmed guy to be posing a threat. And a strange place to be shortly after a struggle in the car, given that he was facing the policeman when shotThe day after the shooting, St Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar told reporters that Mr Brown or Mr Johnson allegedly pushed Officer Wilson back into his car as he was trying to get out, and proceeded to physically assault the officer. At some point, they struggled over Mr Wilson's weapon. A shot was fired in the car, at which point the officer got out of vehicle, and shot Mr Brown.
According to Mr Belmar, there was a distance of 35ft between Mr Wilson and Mr Brown when he was shot.

Tho police version;
35ft is a long distance for an unarmed guy to be posing a threat. And a strange place to be shortly after a struggle in the car, given that he was facing the policeman when shot
So both accounts there agree he assualted the police officer and then ran off. ~10m isn't that far tbh. Can be covered in a couple of seconds. Already proved he was a threat by attacking the police officer...
Not saying this is the truth. But based on that, the officer can hardly be called a cold-blooded murderer.
Shooting a guy 6 times and killing him after he ran away, based on that, i think he could be.
Definitely need some more witnesses for this. Unfortunately, I doubt we will ever know the truth. We'll just have to wait for the courts to decide i suppose.
