Was very close to picking this up in town for £35 today, opted not to at the last second, looks like I dodged a bullet there.
ai seems quite weak at the moment and easy to beat
although they are quite aggressive i im not sure if they get harder
only done 3 or 4 races
I got the game this morning so here are some of my thoughts.
The car models are great from what i've seen so far and they look very accurate. The tracks are also very good, with plenty of detail and although i've only driven Monza so far, it's a very accurate replication, my only moan with the graphics are that the colours used are a bit to vivid.
I did not see any screen tearing but there was a slight bit of popup in the distance.
The game also has a nice sense of speed.
It doesn't quite match up to the superb driving model of GT5p, but I really enjoyed driving the F430 it just had the right feel for me.
The game is very good with the g25 wheel.
I tried it online and its pretty good.
If someone uses your car as a brake and rearends you they get the penalty and come of worse than you.
In grid if someone crashes into your car a lot of the time its raceover as your into a wall and wrecked.

The car damage is only cosmetic paint scratches.
You can paint your car similar to forza2 but not as extensive.
The choice of tracks they have made is very good.
The car handling and driving is much better than grid.
This is about the A1 from the devs.
So really the challenge we have brought back, is how do we bring the right experience right from the beginning? Let's start with the AI; these prevent you from using them just as an obstacle to go around. We have progressive AI, progressive intelligence and its all done by what we call a virtual button technology. Basically the car at the speed controlled by the AI works out who is behind, what is in front, does he brake late, does he brake conservatively and depending on the scenario he may out-brake himself. You will quite often see AI cars knocking each other off the track or if he has tried to out-brake you because you are trying to pass him; AI actually defend a corner like a proper race, and I think that was probably the most successfully realised challenge that we have overcome was to make it feel like a real race game

Been playing it today, there is dynamic difficulty (ie play about half way into challenge and it gets a lot harder).
Or try arcade where the difficulty is already set. From about hard upto legendary I had to switch the assists off to get that fraction of a second speed increase and control round corners to beat them. Later tracks like Tremblant are really tricky.

good to know it gets harder
read the review and would say this game is more realistic than gran turismo imo
i dont like how in qualifying you have to go back out when time is up to move onto the race seems a bit silly
would not say the graphics impress me at all car models are good however
rain is very nice
loading times are a bit long but i will cope with that rather than another 5 gig install lol

as long as it handles better than grid ,its a must buy until gt5 comes out

not a bad game actually , looks ok but the car sound could have been a bit louder when using outside view

yeah the cockpit sound is great though
quite enjoying it now i have got to the harder levels
not sure i like the idea of having to redo it all for every car as it seems is the case?
its really good with a wheel too
Outside view did not know there was one how please ?
