Hi there, got my new pc up and running, but I have a few minor issues with it.

1. I tryed the Bioshock demo and noticed a lot of graphic bugs, and movies in media player 11 seem very blotchy and bad quality. Looks like a driver issue, but I cant see how because I have installed the latest version of the vista 64 drivers from the nvidia site (Version 163.69) and thats the only driver thats ever been on the drive.

2. Not sure if this is a problem but everytime Vista asks me to allow a program or something to run the screen flickers black twice, once as it pops up and again when I press allow.

I have installed the motherbaord drivers that came with it, same with monitor. Maybe I should update the mobo drivers?

EDIT: Forgot to mention pretty much everything is at default settings atm, bios etc.

Any help much appreciated. (Spec in sig)

Bump, I tryed Quake Wars and didnt notice any graphic bugs.. strange.

Not an issue with vista64 nvidia drivers and certain games, is there?

Wouldnt explain the bad quality movies anyway.

Try turning off the UAC.

Launch MSCONFIG by from the Run menu.

Click on the Tools tab. Scroll down till you find "Disable UAP" (this should probably change to UAC in next Vista beta builds and in the RTM version). Click on that line.

Press the Launch button.

A CMD window will open. When the command is done, you can close the window.

Close MSCONFIG. You need to reboot the computer for changes to apply.

I don't think it'll work without them, but have you got *both* extra power cables connected to the GTX? Maybe give 3DMark06 a bash and post your results?

Yeah I have both power cables connected on the GTX, I didnt mention that perfermance in Bioshock and Quake Wars was absolutely fine.

I will download 3Dmark06 and let you know the results.

Also noticed another problem.. when the pc loads up I see this message: "Detect drivers done: No any drive found". Not sure what that means.. if anything.

Thanks.

"Detect drivers done: No any drive found" seems to be an issue with the Jmicron application, to do with hdd/disc drive.
Im not having any problems with them.. so ill leave it.

Realy want to fix this graphics problem =/

Should I try the nvidia drivers that came with the card and see if anything changes?
