hi all ,i am after vista and have a few Q's. most likely version will be premium as the basic is exactly that, too basic.

anyway i have a core2 pc and amd64 laptop and will probs go for the 64bit version, at least i was until i read reviews about some games (quake4 doom3 etc) and programs dont like x64. any opinions?? im thinking that if this OS is out for as long as XP was then chances are il have over 4gb of ram by then anyway.

also does the OEM version work on both pc and laptop?? as im deffo not gona buy it if i can only install it on one machine and have to get another copy of vista for the other. cos if M$ are gona rip us off then ppl are going to using illegal copies!

1 last thing. say i buy premium are both 32 and 64 bit versions on the disk?? im confused.

thanks

Urm, if you want Vista on both machines you'll need to buy a licence for both.

No real need to go through the whole of your post.
As with all MS OS's it is licensed - one copy per machine.
This has always been the case with MS OS's.
As you've made it quite clear in your post that if you would have to buy two copies for two machines then you wouldn't be buying it that obviously means you are "above the law" and will be attempting to thieve it.
*Shrug*
Off you go then - have fun, but really you aren't big or clever...just a thief.

The OEM copies contain EITHER 32 bit or 64 bit.

The Retail copies contain both, but you still have only ONE licence.

However, Retail is about 2.5x the cost of the OEM copies, so unless you plan to upgrade soon, you might be better off getting two OEM copies, one for each machine.
