Hi all,

I currently only have a 36gig raptor so I want to upgrade. I plan to use my raptor for apps/windows. An new drive fro other stuff.

Will I notice a speed decrease when going to 2 drives? I dont want to run in raid or anything. Also, say for example I had data for a game that could be modded (i.e oblivion) on the new drive but the install for the game was on my raptor - would there be any problems loading from different drives?

I plan to get the seagate 250.10 sata drve - good choice?

Thanks

The Seagate 7200.10 is a good choice in terms of outright speed, some can be noisy apparantly but I doubt it is much of an issue coming from a Raptor. You shouldn't notice any speed decrease because of having two drives but you may find that some games can't operate with the data being split across both, in fact I'm not totally sure that any can unless they have their own internal system for checking where the data is to come from. :)

Thanks for post,

So its best to keep all games/applications solely on 1 drive?
