Few seconds pause before POST screen?

When I press power button, it takes about 5 seconds before POST screen appeared! :rolleyes:

I am using Geforce 3 card but I had Radeon 9550 while ago, the problem is still the same so it's not down to AGP card? Memory test and HDD test ok..I have tried re-seating ram, taking off IDE etc, nothing worked.

Post used to come up almost instantly after pressing power button, could it be a sign of motherboard showing its age?!

On some older gfx cards they would display a little logo before the post screen came up, my only thought is that it maybe this but with no logo?

or it could be that the psu is taking its time to power up all the internal devices, sounds more like it could be to do with psu? long shot but you could also try resetting bios.

Hmm, I am sure I haven't seen any logo but it was there before. Also PSU, I haven't thought of this so I will check voltmeter when powering it up. Thanks, much appreciated.
