FF VII - Grinding Needed or not?

The good thing is the mobs don't lvl/scale up with you so you can get ahead early in the game unlike Oblivion and "other" RPG's where lvling is made absolutely pointless... almost!

a good tip for demon wall is to make sure you get Big Guard enemy skill off a beach plug! infact, that enemy skill is very useful for all boss battles. and is very easy to miss first play through.

I once grinded Aeris to level 99 in the hope that she wouldn't be killed off in the story....

To say clearing the rest of the game after that was easy was an understatement... (this wasn't my first playthrough mind).

And I wonder why I couldn't be bothered with FF8......

Just downloaded this on PSN for my first play through. Played 8,9 10 and 11 (yet never completed them) and loved them, so its my aim to get this and complete it.

I never bothered, but I read a combo before that you just cast one thing and it would beat both the Weapons. I think it involved getting Phoenix materia reborn twice and KOTR reborn too.

Yeah those old fashioned combos means either using the W-Summon or Mimic and Knights of the Round, or use Mimic and something like Cloud's Omnislash.

Really though, the most easiest way to beat the weapons or any boss for that matter, is Cait Sith's insta-kill Slot limit break if you can get his face perfectly. Of course, this obviously will destroy the fun of playing it the hard way.

Just like how in Final Fantasy VIII you have Selphie and her "The End" if you were very lucky.

play the game through first then replay it and do all he side quests etc

if you want a "perfect" or "flawless" game where come get and complete everything then thereis certinly hours of grinding to be put in
