Does anyone play this? My mate has been playing for ages now ( and got his in USA) I’m thinking of joining him but if I buy a UK version can i join him? Anyone know?

I'm fairly sure the servers aren't region blocked, there was a huge stink caused by European players when characters from the Jap server (started a looooooooong time before the Euro/US ones) started being transferred and it through the whole game balance out of kinter.

Be ready for a game which asks you to press the "R2" and "X" buttons Poor port tbh.

????? surely you jest, cant remeber seening ff11 out for the consoles before it came out on the pc, i know that i never saw any 'push r2' messages.

I stopped playing this again about a month back! It's fun for an hour but unless you can get a group be prepared for very long boring grinds and dont expect to be travelling far from San'doria or where ever you start until you are lvl 12+

Servers are open to everyone worldwide. You'll need your friend to buy a 'worldpass' code for you to enter when you create your character initially to use the same server. Thats it really.. get ready for the grinding

The original PS2 version never came out here, but it was the first version.
