Didnt know what part of the forum to put this in but could someone create me a profile that will increase the quality of my DVD's?

Im currently on a 22" widescreen panel, i had a go at it myself and it looks better but when people move the characters bodies get split into very thin lines.

Any help much appreciated.
 
don't use FFDshow? i find that the Xvid and DivX codecs provide much better quality!
 
Looks like he's talking about DVD upscaling, not encoding stuff. :)

I've had very varying degrees of success with this myself, so would certainly be interested in suggestions. :)

PS - Windows forum (unless of course you're running it on something else).
 
I think what you're referring to is interlacing... You need deinterlacing on...

Or just use videolan which upscales and has the option to deinterlace

i uninstalled ffdshow and started a dvd up, used VLC for ages, video was stuttering kept having a 2 second slow mo thing every 2 seconds, same with WMP.

Might be because my DVD RW +/- is old, dont think it makes a difference but it is 4-5 years old.

Sounds like you haven't got DMA enabled?
