FF's AGVT Log

Damn that's a lot of volume!

FF sorry for hijack but with regards to normal gvt which I've been doing lately do you recommend doing higher reps with regards to legs?
I know gvt is supposed to be 10 x 10 but I've always read that legs need higher rep range to grow.

My legs feel like jelly and i really struggle with 10 x 10 which I guess is a good sign.

Yea done 100kg 10 x 10 couldn't breathe.Jumped onto leg press and tried to do 10 x 10 @ 220 but was nearly sick and sweat was pouring. Some brofessor at my gym says I'm wasting my time with 10 x 10 and legs hence why I'm asking.
How long you been doing agvt?

If you're doing it properly then 10x10 should be plenty. Slow negs will **** you up good and proper!

With a faster rep tempo then yes higher reps are required but you'll be averaging the same TUT.

Edit: Infact you shouldn't be able to acheive the full 10x10 so up the weight if you are.

A couple of months, interspersed with holidays and injuries. I'm going back to a hybrid strength training after this - I just fancied a bit of volume. Then after a few months I'll probably do another cycle of AGVT.

Phase 5 - Chest / back

Wasn't looking forward to this as I felt as though my thumb issue was going to get the better of me - it was okay, but was definitely aware of the niggle :(

Chest was totally fried - those dips just crippled me. Those 100Kgs felt like they were 2x heavier, and that 60kg, I just hit a wall - couldn't even move, even with bad form and doing what I could I just. could. not. move. that. ****ing. bar. Was funny though! :D

Owing to my thumb I had to use thumbless grip which made things even harder - but I couldn't NOT go....... this ****ing thumb.

I didn't realise with AGVT that the exercises are done in superset fashion except squats :o

Fair play
