FFXIV Beta: What does this mean?

I've just found this email in my inbox:

We would like to extend a warm welcome to all testers, and thank you for your participation in the FINAL FANTASY XIV Beta Test.

The date and time at which the installation client for FINAL FANTASY XIV Beta Version will become available for download has been decided.

Client Availability: Friday, July 2, 2010 from approximately 8:00 a.m. (GMT)

Details regarding the precise dates and times of the upcoming beta tests will be announced in the near future.

We humbly ask new and veteran testers alike to enjoy their time in Eorzea throughout the beta test, and we look forward to receiving your feedback!

I don't actually remember signing up for the beta, but awesome if I get in. Does this mean I did?

Not gloating, honestly don't remember signing up, let alone getting a key. but I'll post in the other thread now anyway.

Is the email from an @Square-enix.com address? If not then its probably just a scam one, I have had 2 scam emails in the last few weeks saying I have got into the beta. Which is odd as 1) I had never applied for beta 2) I have never even been to their website 3) I have no interest in the game.

[email protected] - no request for details, nothing apart from that quoted above and a link to the main FFXIV site.

Is that the address shown when you cursor over it too? The ones I had showed that address but then showed a different address when cursored over. The 2 I had didnt ask for details either, just links to another site.
