Hi,

We're currently renovating part of our house and I want to move the router/switch to a central cupboard in the middle of the house and run CA6a to various rooms from there.

We don't currently have fibre in our area so, for now, I'm planning to run a secondary telephone socket from the main socket by the front door to the central cupboard.

If things go to plan, the renovation will be complete way before fibre arrives in our area.

When we do get fibre, how does installation work in terms of placement by the old copper telephone socket...is the fibre entry point right next to it? I'm concerned that I won't be able to get the fibre from this entry point by the front door to the cupboard without breaking the new plaster.

Probably a stupid bonus question, but I assume fibre can't be installed from the existing secondary telephone socket?

Just had a look, looks like theyre purely on the ezbends now. They'll come to the main point of entry, so where your grey cover is usually on the front of the house. From there run a 25mm kopex/flexible conduit and still a draw wire in it. Then they'll pull through an ezbend when its time for installation
