Just noticed my exchange has fibre optic available, only thing is its £25 a month. Are bt the only ones who can supply this or are there other ips's??

Thanks.

There are quite a few other ISP's that provide FTTC, but no other 'major' competitors to BT yet, e.g. O2, Sky. You'll struggle to find a better deal than £25 a month for 300gb (with P2P traffic shaping at peak times) that BT are currently offering.

Other ISP's doing FTTC:

AAISP
ADSL24
Aquiss
Eclipse
Fast
IDNet
Spitfire
Timico
TitanADSL
uno/xilo
Vispa
vivaciti
Zen

Could wait until Talktalk announce pricing for their FTTC package.

Am I right in thinking that they are different in that its their own equipment (like LLU)?

Where i work we had TitanADSL fibre installed.
I think for comparison to other providers for price, usage and peak/ off peak times Titan seem to be pretty good.

Lucky i get a nice 50Mbs virgin service at home soon to go 100Mbs :D

Well i decided to go with bt, Only got to wait 2 weeks now. Lets hope its better than my current connection.
