Works out very expensive, the sort of usage I'd want is £100 a month.

I'm thinking IDNET Home Pro fibre might be ok for me, 50Gb 9am till midnight, then 150Gb off peak at £35 a month.

Sky have a trial website setup where you can register your details. Sky only list three exchanges for now (below) but it's a good way of indicating your demand for such services if you are with Sky.

Pricing for usage isn't going to be significantly different from ADSL when you have to use the same infrastructure.
It's not getting the data to the exchange that's expensive (and the speed of the connection doesn't factor into the price at all) it's from then on to the handover at the ISP's network.

Any way to find out how far you are from the cabinet?

We're building a new house and I've not even seen ours (had a look around the street, and nothing).
