I read "thinking of" SFP+ switches and offered an alternative. Although looking at the price of them, I can see why. Honestly I was just sharing my experience, never been one to mess about with fibre for outdoor or long runs, seems too fragile for my liking, but that's just my problem :)

I don't need managed switches for my home so £150 for unmanaged works ok for me.
