FIFA 10 PS3 Tournament

We're halfway through the FIFA season now so it seems like a good time to have our first tourney.

Ideally, I'd like to get 16 people signed up for this.

Who's interested?

I think it will be the same format as the first tournament we had in 09. I.E. choose your own team.

RULES:

Pick your own team. Stick with this team throughout the tournament.

Home and Away game to be played. In event of draw, winner of tie decided on away goals.

90 mins. No extra time.

In the event of a draw (on aggregate) then a decider tie should be played. If this ends a draw on 90min, play ET and penalties.

Can be multiples of same team. No limit on which team you can choose. Like in the first tournament of FIFA09, it was me v Beenom. Barca v Barca.

I think it's fairer that way. Then it's all down to the player rather than the team that was picked for them.

Was done with individual names on pieces of paper. Same as FA cup draw.

Well, they use balls and celebrities. I didn't have the budget for this.

Instead, I used a Bic, sketchpad and the draw was observed by my dog so you know it's fair.

You can be any team but must stick with that team throughout the tournament.

Good games. I held back as much as possible to counter my sloppy defending which seemed to work quite well. HTK unlucky not to score a few times though and was bossed by Rooney which didn't seem fair at times. The defender would look in full control and then suddenly Rooney had the ball.

Will update the tournament table ASAP. Don't have my main PC atm as I need a new ethernet cable so all browsing being done on PS3. Painful.

Hopefully I can keep a clean sheet, I'm going to need to score 1 more than you whatever the case, away goals will see you through in the event of a draw. I'm feeling a bit bunged up with a cold or something today as well so I'm preparing that excuse for if I lose later on!

Not sure when I'll be able to play. Have to head out for footie at about 8.15.
