FIFA 14

I used to be in the camp where if you defend well and are clinical in front of goal (Mourinho's style) you should win.

But on defensive mentality they have now nerfed how players attack the ball and players no longer make runs, there is no offence at all you have to do it all yourself. The game was fine up until about a month or so ago, I don't know what they did but defensive mentality has nerfed how players act in the oppositions half, Strikers no longer attack the ball.

Switch to balanced or attacking and your full backs are always out of place meaning if you fail in the attack your now screwed at the back.

I'm talking about playing against the good players here in Division 1 who will expose you if you have full backs out of place.

This is why for me I think 5 atb might work as it's essentially 3 at the back on attacking, and it won't stop my players from attacking the ball or making runs.

But then I have to play 5atb which I don't like and I never have played it at all this year because I hate 5 atb.

The game is just unplayable for me as it is, gives no satisfaction when I win now. I was going to sell it but the old "any" man is buying a PS4 today so I no longer need to put up with Hitler.
 
When I said "cheap players". I meant me, ie cross/long ball spamming. I'll try out the 4-2-3-1. What reasonably priced forward would be good in Serie A and La liga for this formation?
 
I played around 6 games against 5 atb teams and only lost to one of them which was complete luck. In all games i dominated possession and it was basically slowly wearing down the opponents defence.
 
I found Vucinic lethal in the air before they nerfed defensive mentality.

IF Aduriz is worth looking at for crosses hes like 10K as well i imagine, has 90 heading but this never translates well in the game I imagine Benzema is probably better or Costa if you can live with his work rates

I'm spending more time messing around building teams now than actually playing the bloody game. :p Pretty happy with this though so far, but I might have to try subbing on Alaba for Cole:

After trying Pedro, I think I prefer him over Navas. He's not as nippy but I've scored a couple of crackers from well outside the box with that 5* WF. As an added bonus, if I can ever afford Messi he can slot in at RF and I can move Aguero to LF. :D

He was the better out of the BPL diminuitive left footed CAMs I used. Ozil was pants. Mata and Silva felt similar. Carzola is OK but weak. Nasri wasn't great.

i've not found any attacking player who cannot hit a half decent power shot tbh, finesse is far more suited to specific very rare players like Nasri.

get Nasri on the left side of the pitch in the opponents half and have a dig with finesse, it's unbelievable OP.
