Well just got off the phone to a nice chap at SKY, seems my line is going through a 'line optimization test' which can take up to 2 weeks starting from the 26th of Feb.

Was literally seconds away from volleying my xbox down the street... Good job mrs come downstairs and told me to give sky a call :p

Explains why i have been disconnected from 80% of the matches i have played in the last week, almost making me join the spoon brigade at the local nut house.

Think i best quit FIFA for a few days till this test thing is done.. Why is it done anyway? My broadband hasn't had a single problem in the 2 n half years i have had it until they started doing this test....

Say bloke on the phone got me to type something into command prompt which brought a load of routers up, then asked me what all the channels was on. They was all 1 and 11 then told me to change to 8 on my router.

Then he did a line test which come back ok.

Then i told him how my mrs's sister is having the same problem who lives round the corner, then he told me about some tests that started on the 26th that can last up to 2 weeks, which could be the cause of my broadband dropping every few minutes.

I dunno, probably fobbing me off to get me off the phone. Sounded like a genuine chap though.
 
Ah, you're running the latest Firmware on the router, would have suggested updating it.

I'm still using the Sagecom router even though I had the Sky Hub, I found that when I was using the Sky Hub, Fifa was really laggy. Not sure if it was router related.

I shouldn't be dropping every few minutes due to 'tests' though, doesn't sound right.

I'd be requesting a new router.

I asked that. There £30, **** that....

Actually had a letter from sky come through about insuring the router and sky box about 2 weeks ago as they are out of warranty . Coincidence ay? :p
