FIFA 14

Playing with this team just now. Its pretty solid. I really want that 91 Robben but I just can't pull him in a pack.

Defense is so solid.

Best LB I have used in the game. His pace doesn't hurt him at all. But I do miss the attack runs Alba makes. When you need to attack, Alba is better but for defending, Rodriguez is amazing.

I also prefer Maggio over the better RB's like Lahm in this game. Full backs with high heading are always handy.

Going to try Matuidi's new MOTM card instead of Pogba.

Where is Pirlo's best position?

I got Schweiny, as CDM then I need two CM's and a CAM and I have Pirlo, Fabregas and Gerrard for those positions (41212).

Rakitic, Diamanti, Giovinco and a few others as options too but I feel those 4 are the better ones (unless someone gets an upgrade that I have).

Ideally I'd use Pirlo alongside someone like De Rossi in a 2CDM formation, or maybe CCM in 451(2).

Because we are sad and spent 100's and 100's of thousands on packs :p

At £5 for 300k coins, it was hard not to spend a mill on WC packs.

I sold my normal UT teams (worth about 50K).

I won the world cup on my first attempt (30K plus 3 packs)

I invest every coin i earn into packs. Probably spent 100-150K in terms of coins on packs and I have the below teams. Plus you get a player for every game you play.

Carroll - Defoe

Jo --- Sanchez (OP after boost, every time he gets the ball in a decent situation it's a goal)

bare in mind when i won the world cup i had a 66 RB in my team and i think a 66 rated RM, etc i have built mine up from really crap to playable.

I am thinking of switching south america to 41212 with RM and LM because I just got Cuadrado. I would then stick vidal CDM and then need to use Robhino or some other crap i have LM.

i prefer CM's though because the game favours ping pong passing as ball control is all over the place when first touch is concerned.
 
He's scored loads of finesse shots for me, in fact he seems to be one of the best in the game at them. It's his passing that stands out though, great for 1-2's and through balls.
 
Sonny, I have everyone except messi and ronaldo in WC mode. If I buy a pack now I'll get all duplicates 9/10 of the time.

Shame I am too **** to still win anything :p

Oh his through balls are superb. His power shots seemed awful honestly Gerrard and Essien are miles better as is Fernandinho (who don't have great shooting stats apart from Gerrard).

Another thing that stood out was his set pieces. He scored from a corner directly. Second time I have ever done that, the other guy must have been raging as the camera quickly panned back to the corner flag where Pirlo was kissing the ground celebrating.

I'll need to try finesse shots in future then.

Focus on ping pong passing your way out of trouble. Only hold onto the ball if you have tons and I mean tons of space or your one on one with them. Try and move sporadically. Moving constantly in one direction is far too predictable. I have killed guys by running in a line, stopping then moving off in a new direction. Or as soon as I receive the ball turn the opposite way from what you normally would, or turn as normal then move off in the opposite way. You will be surprised how easy it is to take on and beat people in this game mode.

I also find that 2 strikers seems to be the best option and the best formation is 41212. 4231 was awful. Have one target man like Carroll and then someone fast like Sanchez alongside him. Headers are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OP I had someone message me in game when I was 3-0 up to stop scoring headers (I had Jo up front with +15 heading card on him) I then scored a 35 yarder with Cuadrado and then scored another doing a messi like run with cuadrado beating 3 players before finessing past the keeper.

You get a lot of boost cards from opening packs use them. the +15 heading on someone like Jo or Carroll in this game mode means ping in 3 crosses and one of them will be a goal.
 
Have they nurfed pace/sprint speed in UT? Lennon seems unable to out sprint anybody.

On a side note, I just got my platinum trophy on fifa 14 :D
