FIFA 14

This game....

Sent mrs upstairs so i can have a go for the first time in donks, and you'll never guess what as happened...

The servers are down. What a shock.... Seriously do not know why we're all even bothering with fifa15 as it will be the same, a complete shambles.

Nice two goals TimBrad, bit like the ones rusty did against me. i really need to learn skill moves.

The reason why i'm waiting to see if anything changed before buying fifa 15.

No better time than the present :). They'll be easily transferable to 15 as well.

I went back to 13 for some games last November as I wasn't really enjoying 14 that much. I perfected a lot more skill moves in that time and was pulling them off just as well in 13.

i think with my type of game play, quick passing to try and create space. Learning skill moves could create more space around me and i could score more :) my team not very good in the air, my tallest player (non CB) is 5.11 :D

Seems a waste having players like Neymar, Alves, Messi etc just passing.

Any good moves i should learn first and what buttons i should press? Only videos i seem to find are lacking information and mostly xbox controller.

It makes me a bit sick the standard of players who beat me on this game, maybe because I only play it about once a week I should expect to be rubbish but just the sheer amount of luck and woeful play I get beat with it's infuriating. Why the hell did I pre order 15!

All the better skill moves require no buttons at all ;). (all on the right stick)

Difficult to say really. Skills are situational in their entirety. There's no skill you can use to beat somebody hands down. They're all about timing really. And that just comes from practice.

If you learn the players you have and what skills they can and can't do... and then learn one move for each skill move star and then go from there.

2* - Body Feint
3* - Roulette
4* - Heel to Heel Flick
5* - Scoop Turn

If you try to learn too much at once you'll get nowhere.

Is weird what you do, for most part works for you but when I play you your build up play feels chaotic - there seems no obvious plan so I tend to let you do your thing and its only once you get in my half that I tend to attempt to intercept - just easier because Ill have you outmanned. Its better play than what you used to do before, your defending is far better as you dont seem to allow your defence to wander as much - its quite frustrating at times and has sometimes led me to play worse football than Id like to (crossing etc...)

I think with skill moves it might be an idea to work out where best they work - I do chuckle when you start skilling with Alves as normally you are in your own half down the right wing (do you just spam the right stick?). Skilling can be effective but Ive always thought less is more, so use it in the final third.

I dno why I dont skill as much as I used to in previous FIFAs - I think Im embarrassed how average I am at them, I really should use them more but sometimes it just feels like showboating.

I really need to improve my play as I just feel Im in a creative rut - just so average at everything in FIFA 14 :(

The latest team that "seems to be doing well" which will no doubt go bad now!

Actually finding 433-2 surprisingly fun now with the right CMs, not sure on Fernandinho yet, might try Dembele or even Silva, any other suggestions?

Running scoop turn is something I barely use, I hate pulling it off on the xbox one pad tbh, no idea why, it just goes wrong a lot, I do love the 5* stepovers into a side heel flick (not < > but the < / \/ \ > I think), I do need to work on good, useful chains, usually its a Mcgeady spin off the byline, heel to heel flick, roulette, stepovers into feint etc.. but obviously over the game can get a bit predictable..

Because you either have a slight addiction, or won't give up hope :D

Are squad:

Sheringham is insane. Fowler lets me down by not having the line sniffing celebration. Defoe is Lewis's 600k decision (now can bought for 60k).

Neville is there but I prefer Richards, Lew prefers Neville.

Yeah any pre-determined routine can go that because as soon as any timing goes on a move the whole thing falls over.

I barely use scoop either to be fair but like most of them, when timed right in the right situation can be really effective. Most 5* moves aren't really that useful anyway. They're just for taking the mick.

Not chaotic to me, if you watch my back four they now stay back and in a straight line most of the time. Its all built into me not moving the players forward just the ball. Thats why my defending is far better. But gives me less players moving forward to attack, why i'm out numbered and i think some skill moves could create the space when its 2 or 3 against 1 of my players.

At the moment when its 2v1 or 3v1 i always pass backward to try a different angle, thats when it goes so wrong.

I'm lacking width on the pitch due to the formation, it's pushing you wide. My RB and LB are my wing players if i required to mix it up :)

i do try things with the right stick with Alves, they never do the same thing every time. Only time i can test thing out and see if it works :)

Yes, you should. You did when i first played you by cutting in on the wing with a move or two and end up in front of goal. now days you try middle of the pitch and fail, move to wing and cross it :P

Will try out Body Feint and Roulette against ps3ud0, Alves is fun to test with and see how far forward i can go :)
