FIFA 14

So my son has just got this and he keeps getting the message "eas fc not connected" and can't play multiplayer. Single player is fine. He gets messages about EA servers not being contacted, but I can't find evidence they are actually down.

Are we missing something ?

You have to be technically good to be able to use Vucinic or Jovetic effectively though unlike pacey strikers like Etoo, Aubamayang, Ibarbo which are great to use as a super sub when the oppositions CB's are knackered.

You should try Jovetic if you like Vucinic, not as good as him in the air but jovetic on the ground is amazing, he is tall and offers decent heading stats but 77 passing makes him useful to play 1-2's and through balls to others. Both of them to me were the most complete strikers in the game with no weak points, able to score any type of goal bar the Nasri style finesse shot.

Yeah I've used Jovetic in my mates team and he was fantastic and surprisingly good in the air. I'm not a fan of BPL teams so I might try making a hybrid with Vucinic and Jovetic up top. I'm not a huge fan of lobbed through balls to pacey strikers so their style suits me well.

Honestly Vucinic's finesse shots are really good from my experience. They're no El Sharaawy but definitely a viable option from just outside the area on his stronger side.

Could be worse, someone got Iniesta in those 5th birthday free packs twice and had to quick sell one for 0 coins because you can't sell him :eek:.

i did get Thiago Silva, not to bad but everything else was junk.

My Bpl side is still by far my best, i did trade in 90 rated suarez and got standard 86 rated suarez. in my games with dredd and the 3 or 4 online seasons games i played i scored more goals last night with him than i did in a full week of games with 90 rated suarez.

good few games, thank you for the tips. i will use them against happy_2008 and few other people who always win against me :D

after playing a few of you, happy_2008 the only player that really gets me fifa mad. you can never get the ball off him. if you do its only for a few seconds :(

i do need to test my new passing team out on happy, but i don't think it will change final score much.

shame i never got to play against Tom, like to see how you play :(

Thoughts? Three at the back seems risky with cross spam so prevalent but all three are very good defensively and having two H/H wingers could be good if they can get back to help prevent too many crosses. Also have two solid CDMs, Pirlo's passing and two of the best strikers in the game up top with great passing for those 1-2s in and around the box.

Anyone making country teams this year? For some reason Im finding them a bit more fun to make than league ones - seem to come against them less except for Brazil :p

Currently making my yearly French team - Ligue 1 seems to a lot weaker now...

I was gonna suggest MotM Nasri :p. Its ok Im making 50k teams, enough choice for that kinda pricing...

MOTM Nasri it is then :p.

You can get some great teams for 50-100k. My La Liga team has the likes of UP Costa, Benzema, Fabresgas, Modric and Marcelo and cost less than 70k. Make a decent priced base squad and then just upgrade individual players as you can afford them. Players like Ramos and Alaba are both affordable and fantastic so you don't really need to worry about buying in forms or TOTYs.

Serie A is even more amazing. A team with El Shawaary, Buffon, Vucinic, UP Pogba, Chiellini, UP Vidal, and UP Benatia can be had for less than 50k with fantastic alternatives to these players if you can't quite afford them yet. Serie A is definitely the league with the best value!
