FIFA 14

I know yours wasn't, yours was the effective type of passing, brought my players out of positions and opened up space which was my downfall really. It's the skill I can't cope with :p I just wish I was better at it myself, I know the skills, but in game I panic and don't know what I'm doing with the analogue :p

Skills just take practice but I only use them when needed. Try to keep it to simple football though. Just you wait when you play ultimate, people name there team skillets and constantly do about 20 Ronaldo chops and scoop turns.

Not got a favourite, like the skills, I struggle with the different ones, can only do a few, the shh, the cup the ear and the Jimmy Bullard ripping Phil Brown :p

They're extremely effective when they come off though, I usually do play the simple football, no idea what happened last night in that sense. Yeah I've played UT before, some of the people on there, they really love their skills, doing them when nobody is near, GG.

lol 'skillers' that do nothing other than the fake shot input (square then X) and all the varieties of that same input are tragic really.

I rotate with a few different moves:

Heel to heel flick
Running or standing scoop turn (depending if 4* or 5*) / fake shots
Roulettes
Body feints
Ronaldo chops
Sombrero Flick
Rainbow Flick
Reverse Elastico
Fake Rabona
Ball roll step overs and the different exits

and if I'm really feeling good the waka waka and hocus pocus come out :D

Speaking of celebrations. Do you guys have a favourite? I always use the Kaka two fingers point to the sky celebration

I just press X when I score lol. Can't be bothered. Unless I'm seething in which case I run to the half way line blowing kisses and then do ride the cat.

I'm not a pure skiller in that it's all I do. I just use them when I feel like it might help me beat a man. The only real thing resembling a routine I have is where I'll either body feint or Ronaldo chop in from the wing. Then when the CB comes over to cover I'll heel to heel flick him if he's sprinting or roulette if he isn't. Then depending on the outcome of that and where the defenders are I'll either shoot or do a stop with R2 then decide what to do next. Everything else do is just spontaneous.

I find the roulette and fake shot are the best skills in the game tbh. Roulette round a defender who is running straight at you is awesome and fake shots just don't get picked up by AI defenders and it just goes through them half the time even if they are placed perfectly.

Haha will have a go. Defending generally seems retarded from kick off, players just don't move?

edit: somehow managed to change my language to French on Fifa. Oops.

Try roulettes from kick off Stewy. It's hilarious. Unless you get fouled you'll be able to shoot if you get the input right.

Someone did this to me last night with Neymar then cracked it with his left peg and it flew into the top corner, he won 3-2 as this was the 87th minute or so right after I'd equalised. I'd usually be infuriated but seen as it was a good goal I couldn't really complain, beats conceding a late header where your defender is destined not to even contest it.

Don't mind happy - he wants you to play like him because he's better than you will be at it so it'll be an easy win :p. People don't like things which are effective against them. For example, I despise high pressure / aggression custom tactics as it means I have to make passes (to get round the full team press) that I wouldn't normally make.

If I'm against somebody playing possession for possession sake I'll either just quit if it's really that boring or get down the wing with my Jackson / Radamel team and pump it in. 9 times out of 10 if you can get a goal against somebody pinging it about aimlessly they'll lose their head if you score first and play into your hands. If people are playing good possession then fair play to them but most peoples idea of possession play involves cross field passes from RB to LB.

I feel uneasy now :p with 4411 and False 9 i'm playing a lot more posession play, obviously always trying to advance but I'm not averse to passing back to go forwards, but the wing to wing switches are something I use a bit, not a lot, but if you are playing a more precise passing game on one side, more players gravitate towards you, and my custom tactics have my team always keeping a high width, so opposite sided wingers are often there & willing.

I got annoyed last night & had to revert to Sturridge, I was using Aguero up top and he was just doing nothing, against me he's always so fast, precise & clinical, seems when I buy him he gets dry dipped in concrete before the matches :( Sturridge was an annoyance to have to use, but with Pedro RM and wanting Suarez at CF, I had no options :(

Meh that's fine it's possession with a plan as I like to say. I don't even think twice about that. Some people just do it for the sake of it to keep possession and make you do that killing double press and then they're down the wing :D.

Edit: personally I find Aguero one of the best strikers in the game and his stats at my club suggest the same. He's lethal for me.

Yeah it happened to me as well once. Can't remember who. You have to applaud it as it at least involves a degree of skill. It's the games fault as opposed to the player for making people practically untackleable from kick off.

Aguero is like a better form of Messi on FIFA as you aren't restricted to his left foot. I miss using his TOTS card to be honest, it's one of the few that felt a great deal better. His W/R's mean he's always there when you need him as well.
