So, 4-1-2-1-2 is far too open for WL, just end up with Bakayoko running all over in an empty midfield while my attackers all run back and Neymar runs out of steam within 2 minutes at LM

Yeah I've been using it a couple of weeks now, got Giroud LCAM, Alli RCAM and Herrera CCAM.

Giroud is cheap for his ability, even if he's not the fastest, but I'll have fast players around him (Mbappe, Neymar, Rui Costa), so it might work. I wanted IF Jesus there but it'll be too expensive. Going Kante and Bakayoko at CDM.

If I can't grind out a result with 3 proper CAMs, I can sub on Sane and Sterling who seem to do well in that position in game. Having Kante to break up attacks and then start an attack works well.

I set my CDMs to stay back and I have one of the CAMs run back and help as well. I've gone from being torn open regularly to only losing if I struggle to score, rather than leaking 4-5.

Any crucial custom tactic tweaks needed for 4231?

Going to try this. I might stick Petit where Bakayoko is (depending how it goes) and sub on a LB. He's meant to be great at LB and amazing at CDM.

This is going very well so far. Only lost once due to the free kick cheese that I always struggle to defend. People never shoot they always have 3 players around the ball and somehow manage to ping pong it into the box and score. Awful.

That is a formation like 3atb for me, it works well at the start then slowly goes downhill and you'll have changed formation by tomorrow

Been running my serie A 4231 a while now it's still playing awesome. Still loving Higgy, Dybala isnt worth the cash Mertens a little weak but defensively solid. Hardly conceding and that's ultimately leading to more wins.

2-0 to 2-6 to 6-6. Really don't get how I do it sometimes.

Bought Dybala and giving him a proper run for the WL, enjoying him so far. Need to get more involvement from my CAMs though, Perisic aside they don't do much

currently 6-1 the loss i got was pure robbed 120th minute i'd hit the post 3 times, bottled a 1v1 and played a cutback and his keeper somehow got down and saved it, his goal was a deflection

I've given up with Squad Battles as well as online now. It's not completely broken like the online game but the last minute goals, that feeling that your players are running in the mud and not being able to find a teammate 5 yards away because your team have been purposely gimped. It's basically become a cash cow designed to con people out of their money in the hope they might one day pack a team capable of beating EA AIDS.

50% win rate in the WL so far, my players keep diving in (AI controlled) and giving away penalties. Talk about frustrating.

I had that constantly in SB post patch. I'm sure it's auto selecting a player off screen so when you try and tackle with the player you think you're controlling it boots a player somewhere else.
