FIFA 18

Finally had a go with 4231 classic and it seemed pretty good last night, until you hit the next division (6 in this case) and the fun seems to really end in general!!

Struggling for a good lone striker from Serie A though, all I have tried (TOTGS Marco Silva, SIF Icardi, Belotti, Mertens) do seem to get a bit lost on their lonesome, IF Ljajic converted to CF has been the best so far!

Try Gomez, he works for me as CF in 433-4 and now alongside Belotti in 442.

He's currently in the right CAM spot, Mertens on the left, IF Ljajic at ST and IF Brozovic at CCAM.

Just trying different setups so far, but these 4 with Khedira & Bonaventura at CDM seems to work pretty well.

Need to make sure you barge them just when they are about to draw level with you. Last year seemed to be when they were level if I remember correctly, this year its like you do it when they are behind which seems odd but works more often than not.
 
Switched to it a few times in-game but always found it very hard to score with, you're basically reliant on the central CAM and ST and not a huge amount else. Saying that, it's very solid defensively.

Market continues to plummet :(
 
It's official, I can't get out of div 2 :(
I just can't get on with the meta this year, maybe I'm just getting too impatient since I don't get to play it as much as last year.
Ah well :o
 
There seems to be some annoying cross from bear the edge of the area that curls in to the far post for even the shortest winger to get his head on the end of it that gets abused a lot right now!
 
Crossing does seem a very good way to score but everyone is so set in their ways of passing it square from the byline not many try it.
 
True, true, seems if you're under 5"9 you'll score amazing headers all gam, someone like Mandzukic goes missing in the air while sterling & Salahdcream strap on their jetpacks and take to the skies!

Played a few games with Jesus yesterday and might be getting on better with him now. Lacazette I feel doesn't get many chances but takes the few that he does quite well. Jesus is getting more chances but then I seem to need more to put them away!! Happy enough with both my teams now though. Just grinding my way towards a couple of better defenders for my BPL team. Currently using Rudiger and Sanchez, looking to replace them both with Bailly and Azpelicuta(sp?)
 
I was 1 down with not long left, so threw it on all out attack, didn't pay full attention and thought it was IF Ljajic there, then I saw the shot fly all weird and then realised what had happened! :D His first ever goal for me, too!

Azpu......Dave as the Chelsea fans call him IS good, but at the same time, not that strong and quite short, Rudiger & Koscielny were 2 I really enjoyed together.
 
Not sure why it took me so long to use 4321 but finally switched to it last night and all is good so far.
Still struggling more than usual but getting there slowly.
