I haven't used a better midfielder than him, only downside is his height, but he's a monster at everything else.
If he's as good as Vidal I'll be ecstatic.
I have used them both in a team, and they seemed to be less effective together, but yes, he is. Vidal is a bit better with the ball but Nainggolan is better at breaking up play.
I have Casemiro for the defensive duties, I just wanted a better CM than Bakayoko for the box to box stuff.

I used the loan naingaollan in the rewards for so section of the game. He's decent.
I like Casemiro, he's not amazing but he's decent at most things defensively, and cheap too.
I've just completed Loan Vieira for 20k, should be interesting to try him out.
Casemiro scored a hat trick for me yesterday when I won 3-0, it was bizarre. I have him set to stay back but still pops in really good positions. He is sluggish but what I need him for he does great.
Struggling for interest a bit with this still, qualified for the DKT but no interest in really grinding out or improving.
Would you guys say your teams are actually still improving or is it the same pool of coins being rotated around? I'm just not progressing any more past this point and it's all a bit boring.

Early days with Rio but other than me messing up while defending he seems pretty good. I'm tempted to get Bale to partner CR7, every time I face him he's a nightmare to defend against (not unlike CR7 himself).
Thoughts on the new prime icons after 15 WL games with the loan squad of doom:
Vieira
Feels like Bakayoko on steroids but much better going forward, certainly a very good player but not sure he'll transform your team especially for the price. For such a big guy playing CDM he wasn't all that noticeable at times, and his positioning wasn't always the best.
Bergkamp
Finishing better than most strikers, decent long shots, great finesse shots and passing. Sometimes a bit weak compared to Rui Costa. Not sure if it's worth the upgrade, never tried Del Piero.
Shearer
Rarely misses a chance, great shooting and shot power. Wins most headers as long as the defender isn't much taller than him. No skill moves to speak of and a poor weak foot stop him being awesome. Despite that he's actually outscored CR7 in the games he's played. 89 Van Basten would be a better buy I think, same sort of finishing but better skills and weak foot, just as good in the air. Faster and more agile too.
Puyol
Wasn't at all impressed initially but got used to him. Don't think he's particularly good so wouldn't bother. Prime Rio seems a lot faster, stronger and better in the air.

I think because I got a very good team very early on as well, I've not really had that 'progression' feeling.
Tempted to sell up and play around with some legends or fun players but I've only got about 900k all in so even that's not hugely attractive.
Bale/Neymar would probably be more dangerous with CR7.Took me a while to warm to Rio. I think, especially with defenders, you have to give them time to learn how they play, tackle, etc.

I'm torn when it comes to Shearer, he's lethal around the box, but I just think you'll get annoyed being shown onto his weak foot all the time (it's fine inside the box though). He's got good strength and stamina which is handy compared to other similar icon strikers.
I scored an absolutely insane volley with him earlier too, and he's a good near post threat at corners.
