I tried Musa and ended up winning 5 on the bounce, kind of kills my urge to play WL when you realise just using the cheap pacewhores is the most effective strategy, he has absolutely ridiculous movement and turn of pace.

No coincidence that when I played early this morning when the gameplay was smooth I went 7 or 8 games unbeaten. Played a few this afternoon/evening back to the lag fest and defeats

Yeah, it's almost impossible to control my players this evening. Feels like they're moving in the opposite direction I want them to.
Edit: Given up with the WL. Without a doubt the worst on line experience I've ever had. It's no wonder people play the same sweaty way when you can't pass because of the lag. Think I'll stick to Squad Battles, the trophies and then flog it.

Think I'll finish on around 21 or 22 wins in the WL, which is OK for a first go, it's absolutely painful at times.
I'm not entirely happy with my Serie A team so will probably switch to the PL/Bundlesliga hybrid I mentioned earlier instead. Being 4-1-2-1-2, if the other person can defend effectively and keep the team narrow, the wide options are very limited and it can get frustrating. Dybala and Mertens are strange, one game they'll be amazing and the next I can't get them into the game properly at all.

If I have a good amount of discard price golds in my club I will normally do 1 or 2 trade ups just to test my luck a bit.
Every time I throw points on I rinse all the discard non-rare gold through the gold upgrade. Packed a few decent players that I use and a lot of other highly rated players that'll be rinsed through SBCs.

14 wins 11 losses with 4 of those coming on Friday when I threw my rattle out with the lag, players falling over each other. I would think gold 2 would be what I end up with this weekend, but going to stop at 18 I think too much decent sport on after midday.
The bottom line is, in a competitive game mode, in a Esports ready game, lag due to congestion is inexcusable.

Squad Battles on Legendary against full chem, high rated teams are no problem. As soon as a Bronze team turns up with low chem they turn in to ****ing Brazilona.
Edit: And why do they not stick to 4 battles every 24 hours like they do during the week? It's bad enough for us but the last battle today runs in to the morning for eastern countries, doesn't seem very well thought out.

Anyone tried Reus or Robben this year? Reus once again looks fantastic but I've never seen anyone using him so I'm hesitant.

Is there any point in continuing with the WL if you can't achieve a higher rank? I've got 14 wins from 37 games so can't finish higher than Silver 1.
Had 8 great games this morning without any lag and was able to pass the ball around and stop long balls over the top. Won six and lost two but it was actually enjoyable unlike last night.
Changing formation from 4-3-3 to 4-3-2-1 after 3 wins from 15 games seemed to help but my router dropped during 5 games yesterday, 2 of which I would've won, so I may have been on 16/37 now.

Ha, I saw your comment and thought I'd give him a go as I just needed a German keeper. Played a couple of games and he has indeed been absolutely ridiculous.
