FIFA 18

It's frustrating, Overmars and Okocha feel so weak, any remotely decent full back gets near them and shoves them off the ball (when they shouldn't be catching them to start with).

Pogba is meant to be amazing but he just feels so sluggish, I'm not good at holding up the ball so maybe I'm suffering because of it.

Think I'm going to settle on a more normal team for now with the likes of Martial. I am tempted to try Messi though...

Messi is good, however he tends to hit the post a lot which is annoying! If I was you in all honesty just buy Ronaldo and bodge a team around him! He's worth every coin, scores goals, strong, wins every header from a goal kick - he does the lot!

I assume you mean CR7 and not R9? R9 is mental money. I have a bit over 2m now, I might buy some packs this evening and see if I'm lucky to raise more funds. I really like the 94 CF Messi card, and would build a team around it, but it's 1.9m at the moment!
 
A great start to WL for me with 6 straight wins, then I got 2 disconnects when I was 3-0 up (cheers sky B.B.) and its all been down hill from there.

I’m tempted to sell Ibra for Giroud but not sure it is an upgrade or downgrade (playing at CAM).

Fitness cards are so cheap atm I don’t see a need for a fitness team. When they hit 1.6k + then I’ll get a fitness team.
 
I have the GOTY Giroud card but not gelling fantastically well, I think I rely too much on pace which he's obviously short on. Tempted to try him at CAM given comments above but that leaves me nowhere for OTW Sigurdsson unless I change formation to something with 2 CAMs instead...

I had the same issue really, the game is fairly pace oriented and it's pretty hard having to work the ball to him.

Indeed, I tend to work the wings with Mané and B Silva and even then, I'm finding I have to cut back to deliver a cross because otherwise he won't have made it into the box and the ball just sails past
 
I had Boateng and he was useless for me which was a real surprise after last year when I thought he was, by far, the best standard gold CB.
 
I could probably afford Ronaldo but not finished with my Luiz Hernandes love affair yet. I don't want to lose so much coinage on Neymar neither, plus I got Ronaldo after like 7 months of FIFA 17, it's far too early :p
