Pro’s complain every year, so does everyone else. If you go through each thread they’re almost identical! It’s just an incredibly tilting game, made worse by PTB tactics and bad connections. It won’t change though whilst everyone shoves their money into EA’s hands, so complaining just seems... almost contradictory, I dunno.

Everyone has a right to comment on a product they use but if you* buy it every year (and feel it never changes) seems pointless.

The argument is the game we bought isn' t the same game we are playing now.. I personally didn't complain much about 17, It was the best fifa in years and a huge step forward.
 
100% agree with Quinn. The game we bought was bloody hard to defend, but and it was huge but when got it right it felt like you’d achieved something.

Given time people would have learnt how to defend and there would be no need for the crappy auto lunges/tackles.

Said it multiple times all they had to do was make keepers work again and it would have been great.
 
I am 10 for 14 in weekend league so far with a team that cost 20k that will soon change no doubt. i do find it very satisfing beating teams full of icons and high rated players makes me focus more and play better. I do enjoy the game i just wish people would find there own way of playing. I am finding wide formations work really well a lot of people dont know how to defend it cause all they know how to defend is narrow holding LT. I am finding it easier to defend with less players cause you can read what your opponent will do and its easier to select the right player when you need to.

I got about 700k saved up should be around 800 to 900 k time the market crash comes. Dont know if to spend it all on 1 super star player or get a better team. Any suggestions? I got rashford whos got over 200 goals for me and i love Antonio as well. So thinking all i need is a amazing cam or icon.

I watched some pro on Twitch last weekend, I want to say he's called Aubameyang but probably isn't, who went 40/0. One of his games consisted of him completely dominating his opponent but only winning by one goal because his opponent kept scoring kick off goals.

On one hand EA want this to be an e-sport and want the pros to get on board to increase the games profile but on the other hand the casuals are their bread and butter so they don't want to put them off so help them out a lot. Some dude called Castro has apparently spoken to some EA devs and the game engine's so broken there's nothing EA can do/or want to do to fix it now.

Edit: Something else that annoys me are the ****ing YouTubers. The people that make a living out of the game and have huge followings are the same morons that go out of their way to find these glitches and exploits and then make videos explaining how everyone else can take advantage of them too. Muppets.

I think every FIFA release has been broken for years. That’s why I stopped playing online for a couple of years. It will never change, just like COD they’ve got a recipe people will buy blindly.

If people honestly believe that these threads aren’t 75% people moaning about losing then they’re delusional. It’s the same as talking to a die hard football fan; every tackle in the box from an opposition player should be a penalty, the ref was against us, that was offside etc. Football just brings out the worst in all of us, that’s why everybody loves the banter! :p

Honestly I think us who have played fifa online for the last 10 or so years deserves to have a voice and have opinions taken into consideration.
Last year EA took tons on board and implemented much of what the community asked for.
They then release the game which was difficult but a step forward particularly to the competitive scene.
They then reverted back on it all and went 100% the opposite direction nd made it an even easier and AI assisted game compared to 17. Like seriously what the hell, it's like this year they don't care for the core fan base.
Anybody this year could beat a pro, I beat a couple top 100s last year and I was thrilled. This year if I beat 1 I'd not feel half the satisfaction because it's probably more so down the bs that goes on in the game as opposed to me out playing them.
 
I'm not sure why they can't just enable and disable 'Assistance' depending on the game mode you're playing. The WL doesn't need it and I would guess very few people playing in the WL would want it either. H2H or friendlies maybe but not the competitive modes.

Edit: ^ I do agree that it all comes down to making money, but they're surely standing on dodgy ground when they manipulate the game to make you think better players are what you need so spend money on packs to get them.

Edit: Squad Battles, 4-0 at HT, 4-4 going in to extra time. Two 90 minute goals :o

It’s there to keep the masses playing as if they got battered every game every weekend they’d stop buying points, the WL even at the top level is a joke now anyway with pros avoiding each other by using certain kits and what not and keeping in touch during their time online. Don’t see much point in the rewards system as most of the top 100 have end game teams within the first month or so, as above the mode is a long way off being a competitive e-sport.

I must have played about 2 hours in the past week, broken record I know but even when winning a lot more than losing the game just isn’t enjoyable, every match is a sweatfest against the same pool of overpowered players with PTB, smashed pass counter attacks from players with low passing stats and kick off goals and the only way you’re going to do well is if you play the same way.
 
So I sold up my team last week and have been attempting the WL with a team costing <20k. Having better players really does make a difference. I got gold 1 last week, I’m struggling for gold 3 this week.

The weaker players just don’t finish chances, you need an extra 2-4 chances to put a game to bed.

I’ll be buying a strong team during Black Friday.

The delaying of POTM has also killed my investments due to the pre market crash. Hopefully they will still be good investments come Friday.

How would you get Neymar - Jesus and Mbappe in a team? Off Chem?

Finding the same problem with my 20k team i need a few good chances sometimes to score 1 goal hoping it will benefit me in the long run though. And convert jesus or mbappe to a cm in a 4321 what most people doing or use a 4231 wide and play 1 at cam and use ferandinho as a link between neymar and jesus
 
Just tried a formation with wingers again and they are just rubbish, so isolated all the time.

I'm trying Pogba too and he's so disappointing, he's strong but feels slow and not all that special for 430k.

I hate the people who cheese with free kicks on the edge of the box, they get 3 players around the ball, run one of them behind the wall, pass straight to them and always score. I try and block it but it's hard to do accurately. It's painful and hard to defend, any tips?

I think WL would be better if it was 25/30 games, 40 is a bit of a grind. If I win most of my remaining games later I might finish just off Elite 3, but it depends how it goes.
 
I use lm and rms they more involved in the build up and always gives me a easy pass then wingers who always seem marked. I also put the cam on free roam which means he drifts wide more to support :]

I miss playing 41212 narrow but i struggle to create anything with it on this fifa

Courtous surprised me just now. Ran to the edge of his box and slid in to clear the ball away! Unexpected.

Only wingers in 352. Otherwise revert to 4231 at half time and put wingers at cam spots
 
I'm at 13 wins in the WL with 10 games remaining so I'll try and get Silver 1 and call it a day. Managed 16 wins the first time, 10 the second so it's a slight improvement but not really worth the effort of playing 10 more games because I don't feel like I'm good enough to get Gold 3.

Edit: Change of plan. Three 90th minute loses in a row. I'm done.
