FIFA 18

Got Gold 3 with 14 games remaining. Played 16 games today as I was a hungover mess yesterday and couldn’t face playing it. Not sure I’ve got any more games left in me to get Gold 2/1.

Finished on 19 wins, can’t wait to buy some decent players now. Really want to try some of the big players I.e Bale, Neymar, Ronaldo. Reckon I’ll have about 1mil by Thursday. With a crash, I should get some really nice players.
 
Had 22 games left today, 8-12. Was 16-14 with 10 to go, lost six and won two to finally get to Gold 3. The way I just seem to implode is beyond me but 40 games is so draining

Bought Nainggolan this weekend, dude is solid.
 
Just finished on 25 wins, best so far, could have easily won about 10 of the games I lost too.

NIF Mbappe is by far my best player, he's amazingly good. He's making 87 Crespo look very average so I might have to sell him which would allow me to massively improve the rest of the team, mostly Serie A. :( If you haven't tried Mbappe, you absolutely should.

Nainggolan is a god in midfield, he's everywhere.
 
Well, back to the SB grind. Had a week off but missed the rewards come Sunday.

Nainggolan just gets everywhere you need him to be. Having him and Hamsik in midfield is just beautiful.
 
Yeah Nainggolan is a monster as is IF Matuidi. Really enjoyed using them in a 4231. Got to 18 wins and stopped with 8 left, ran out of time due to my new ps4 pro being broken :(
 
Robbo are you talking about the RF Mbappe? You playing him off Chem or as a RF?

I’m currently trying to make a team with him, Neymar and Jesus in but worrying about Chem.

Nothing in Elite 1 SB Rewards.

Love to get NIF Mbappe into my team but I would need Baby Blanc and Matuidi to pull it off. That PTG Origi was a great sub for me in the WL. Hopefully he gets some upgrades!

Nope, just regular Mbappe at ST. I previously had him and Neymar on 7 chem up front together. Neymar is deadly especially if you make use of his skill moves, he's just a bit small at times and can be pushed around a bit, where Mbappe seems a lot bigger and stronger.

I'd like IF Mbappe but at 7 chem ST it's probably not worth it, and OTW Mbappe is IF and ST but very expensive.

Even on the left of the two, Mbappe won me the majority of the games. Crespo scored a few stunning goals but ultimately doesn't seem worth the 800k.

The defence are cheap and performed admirably. I'd probably stick Matuidi at CDM but needed him there for the link to Mbappe.

I'm currently looking at a new team, I'd like Nainggolan, De Gea and Mbappe in it, and Rui Costa is untradeable (and still great). Not sure about the rest...
 
Depends on your team setup. The difference compared to my other CMs (Pjanic, Marchisio) is noticeable, big plus is you can shoot with him. 3* skills is downer, but he makes up for it everywhere else...

In my view yes. Nainggolan seems broken, he wins every 50/50 and flies all over the pitch intercepting everything, he's decent going forward as well. I last used him a few weeks ago in my Serie A team and he was amazing then, and he's the same now. I think I'm just going to use him on 8 chem in my new team, he'll still be awesome.

Pogba is very effective in terms of shielding the ball. His passing and shooting are both good but nothing that special. He feels quite slow as well even with a Hunter card.

If he was 200k it would be a different story, but 430k? Too expensive.

Not sold on Williams at RM, more just an idealistic placeholder, hoping Benzema will play a good overlapping CF type role in this formation, I didn't want to put in Bakalakashamalalmadingdongoko as you see him everywhere, but he fit the slot as a placeholder and I've not used him this year at all, might explore other options, though!

Thoughts?
 
Sort of a duplicate post, but relevant to this thread:

I just had a conversation with my 40 year old sister (she works for me)

My 11 year old nephew rang her up and wanted his £10 pocket money in advance (he gets £10 every Saturday, so he's only just had the last lot)

He has his own bank account with debit card and his mum pays the money in to his account.

I asked what he spends his money on. Turns out that literally every week he spends all his £10 pocket money on FIFA. That means over the course of a year EA are making £50 for the game and then potentially another £500+ from a kid over the course of the year! I then explained the 'lootbox' furore online.

Do a lot of you spend money on FIFA? Anecdotally I would think it's mainly kids and teenagers funding it with their parents money.
