FIFA 18

Gees made it to the semis twice to be defeated by rahwem sterling. I kept him out for the first 30 mins but then it was like my defence decided to quit the game and he could run from.the half way line, cut inside into the box and pass to calum Wilson sif to score....

Sad times
 
Same here running man, got semis 3 times this week and the first game went 2-0 up for my defence to give up and lose 4-2 (although the other guy came out a 'new' player the second half. My last semis I got placed against a stacked team with 4 icons... This game can be so demoralising
 
You can qualify for WL by getting promoted from Division 2, which could be easier than the DKT if you are struggling.

While there are some exceptions, facing a team with Icons shouldn't be too demoralising unless it's one of the 'big' icons. I'd rather face an OK player with a full icon team than a good player with Martial/Jesus/Herrera/Begovic/Bakayoko/etc.

Icons you really could struggle against are 90 Gullit, 94 R9, Ronaldinho, 93 Henry. The rest are obviously very good but not game breaking overall. 90 Gullit is a right pain to play against.

I played against TOTY De Bruyne last night, seemed very good, at times almost impossible to defend against...
 
If you can't succeed in the DKT you have pretty much no chance getting promoted to Div 1, I think this year the standard is really poor in the knockout cups, where as Div 1/2 and still pretty much occupied by good/very good players.

Yes, Div 1 isn't easy, but you aren't forced to win games in a row to get there, so it may take a bit of pressure off.

To be fair, if you can't win the DKT or get to Div 1, WL won't be fun...!
 
I'm slowly going up the divisions in online seasons. in div 3 atm, lost out on promotion on the last game. Had a quick bash at the DKT last night and qualified. Game speed seemed quicker. Neymar broke in the semis, despite scoring early on he went on to miss so many chances it was mental! Back to his self in the final which I won 4-2. in fifa 17 I played most of the weekend leagues to get the 18 wins but this year whenever I've qualified I've only played 10-15 games and sacked it off. Least my team is spot on so with the spare coins I've just been plodding through the league SBCs. I'd love the OTW Neymar but if I sold me whole squad I'd still be miles off.

It's like I'm hammering my opponent in dko go one nil up have 55% possession, but the I'll get Rashford ed or SIF calum Wilson or raheemed where they have 3 shots all g9als to my 12 shots where I hit the bar or my own player and fail to score enough goals ...:((
