I'm not really conceding a lot really, I'm just fed up with Ea announcing a fix to something that's now made it ten times worse. I'm conceding goals from players running straight through the middle from KO rather than passing it to the fullback, hitting it down the wing and centering it to the striker.

I've got a serious problem of not scoring enough had 3 games earlier with 15+ on target and still only scored 1 or 2. Not sure what's going on

Don't seem to be scoring them it's driving me nuts because it's it's usually guaranteed. Seem to be either hitting the post or keeper saving it with there feet.

Possession wise and attacking, you're not doing pretty much wrong.
Defending wise you're doing what most do wrong. You need to manually be in control of a defender and try and cut off all passing angles for the player who has the ball. Then use team mate contain for putting pressure on the ball (usually the AI just does this).
Good game though, I was struggling to create much!
I find that very interesting because the meta this year is use and intercept passes with midfielders and let the CPU defend. The best players don't manually defend at all until very last second.I expected a much easier game than that

Sorry that is what I meant, control a player who can cut out passed. Using team mate contain will keep the AI defender pressuring the ball and then when you can tackle switch to that player and tackle. I say this like I am good at it but defending is my weakest point.

My problem was stopping Ronaldo and Hernandez when you just ran straight at me. I've got Fernandinho and Bakayoko set to stay back yet you pretty much had a free run at my defence as soon as you got past the halfway line.
Your style of play is the one I struggle with the most tbh.
I have played like that as long as I've played football games, I never have more possession than my opponent, kinda just all out counter attacking and getting the ball forward as quickly as possible.
I really struggle against players that keep the ball, I just get frustrated and make mistakes due to being inpatient.

I think Squad Battles has helped me improve my attacking and possession play, it's certainly helped me build that team, but moving to tactical defending from legacy has probably hindered my defending more.
Suppose it's just a case of practicing online now because most of my opponents in the WL have played a similar style of football and scored similar goals to you.
Edit: LOL, 23 minutes gone and I'm 6-1 down in a WL game.

I’m exactly the same, win the ball back and then charge forward. Keeping the ball is just boring and not fun.
If I’m a goal down against someone who keeps the ball all the time I start getting really frustrated.
