FIFA 18

Think I'll give him a few Squad Battles games over the weekend but he'll have to be very good to replace TOTY De Bruyne in my team.

Bought 87 Bergkamp last week, while Icons were at their lowest, so I'll dump him in the Icon SBC for Ronaldo. If Maradona sucks compared to De Bruyne he'll go in to the 87 SBC for Ronaldo as suggested above.

Used him for a week and a WL, he was okay but I think not quite quick enough to be competitive. His right foot driven is very good but so is everyone's. He's very expensive for what he brings.
 
Right, just the 86 SBC to do and I have Maradona, SBC Thiago and Ter Stegen left of my high rated players.

Managed to keep most of my BPL players for that SBC but I won't be completing the La Liga SBC now.

Edit: Change of plan. Sold all the 82-84 rated cards I already had for the lower rated SBCs and will buy them back when they all drop in 5 days.

Well my Friday weekend league started out fine, then flopped and then got better. Currently 7 wins with 15 played. After 6 games I had 1 win...

I lost some stupid games I should have won.

But then at the end i put a run of last mibute winrars tigether... best being, 3-1 down against some guy who tried to time waste for the last 30 mins so I bring on SBC Maquire and turn it around and win 4-3 with virtually the last kick of the game.

Then the last game Maquired some guy who brought Ronaldocr7 on in the second half for some unstoppable goals, again fake shot in the box and low drive to win 3-2 with Maquire.

Since I learnt you could power up low shots I've been getting better.

But also been banging in some crackers with kaka and SBC promes who is a good strike partner for Maguire apparently


Edit decided shevchenko 86 isn't good enough, selling crespo 85, and blanc and now need a new front 3 that can maybe accommodate Maquire and Promes somehow.

I'm 8-9 lost 3 games I should have one went to extra time, what I'm finding compared to league matches is long shots outside the box are killing me and my downfall, cost me all my lost matches. The new Rooney card and Van Persie are unstoppable at long shots.

First attempt at WL, so far enjoying it.
 
i enjoy the weekend league, just try and not get annoyed when you come across toty/icon sides and get thrashed. they paid a lot I didn't so i'll take the loss and be over the moon when I win against them.
Played against TOTY De Bruyne and he's the most stand out player I have come across, really strong quick and finished well against me.
Icardi and Dybala up top is working for me.

If they have 5 or more prime icons, including Thierry Henry and score 3 goals inside 45 mins I just forfeit

Yup, if I'm getting humped in the weekend league I generally quit early, it's a frustrating experience enough without putting yourself through 15 minutes of chasing players you can't tackle

Not worth it is it?
If it's a more normal team and it's only 1 or 2 goals I'll throw on Lozano et al and go for it. But now I have SBC Promes and new love for Maguire I've been doing much better
