It's ridiculous... they've said they're not putting the next gen version on PC because most PC's wouldn't be capable of playing it.

And apparently it's not like most games, you wouldn't just be able to turn down the graphics to make it run better :rolleyes:

The 360 version of Fifa last year was very good, it missed a lot out though but it showed its potential at least.

This years Fifa for 360 should be very good... but I'm giving the PC version a skip... unless I have money to burn

yep the pc version hasnt progressed since 99 imo. However, the console versions have especially the 360 version which I quite enjoyed, not quite up there with Pes but since pes 6 was so poor on 360 i went for fifa 07.

LOL!!! downloaded, then stuck on my ipod, then walked ALL the way across the room to put on my main rig, installed walked ALLLL the way to the kitchen to get a tea and my smokes along side my 360 controller in preperation of 20 mins fulfilled delight.

HA!.... EA really are ******* things up these days... spose thats what happens to dev's that have wayyyy too much money, laziness and slackness...

waste of 30 mins tbh. should have put the laptop down and carried on wathing LOTR.... which btw, is on tv

Quoted for complete truth. I'm getting sick of EA Sports churning out pathetic ports. Tiger Woods 08 is another one. Why can't they add widescreen resolutions for their PC games is one question, but why has the FIFA demo ZERO in-game resolution options is another. A demo should show the game in its best light. Noobs would come along thinking the graphics were terrible.

Right click on the command line shortcut
Go properties
Add " RESOLUTION=1440x900x32", substituting the numbers for the desired resolution, after the default command line

Done. Still a crap game though...the crowd looks awful.

don't even need to play it to know it's going to be rubbish.

anybody over the age of 10 knows konami wipe the floor in football, if you don't there's really something very wrong with you. the odd exception being the after the pub kebab loving crowd who don't really play videogames and say things like 'fifa is the dogs'.

where you been? EA have been pathetic going on years and years

all they can do is minor additions onto a game engine which has been the same since 98.

applies to most titles they release too, NFS - NBA Live etc ...about the only one they put time into is NFL.

The age old argument is that fifa has official teams names better atmosphere etc a lot of people probably don't realize that pes has tons of patches.
I have every teams stadium in high res most clubs crowd chants and other sounds as well as fifa commentary patch all transfers updated high res kits and balls.
Yes you have to do some work to install it all but nothing too complicated.
Only problem is when the new pes is out the one you already have is the better game until the new games patches and customization starts coming out.

spot on, PES on the PC with patches and roster updates and most importantly 'kitserver' blows everything away graphically with the great gameplay of the PES/WE engine.

I have a freshly installed copy of pes6, what is a good patch that will update the kits/players/stadiums etc?

Is this PES6 patch ultimate 2007 download any good?

I won't play PES again after the cesspool of faeces that was PES6. :rolleyes:

But at this rate it looks like i'm either going to have to stump up for a PS3/XBOX360 or miss out this year.

Will give this a try tomorrow.
