Fifa 2008

The person saying about there should be a footy game with crysis graphics - i think we're all after gameplay right now, as we blatently wont get both if we ask, but pes08 lets me down gameplay wise, right now i cant stand it.

I am a die hard PES fan, but just got FIFA 08 to give it a fair whirl, and.... you know, it's not as bad as I expected. It's not that easy to score, the ball dynamics are better than in previous FIFAs and there are 2 things I especially like that are better than PES so far: the manual crossing and manual through ball. I know you can manual pass in Pro Evo using the right stick, but that's quite clumsy IMO, and as for crossing, it's too easy in PES. Some animation touches are also quite nice, e.g. falling over animations, tricks. Also the ball doesn't seem as magnetised to your feet as it did in previous editions.

Things that are bad: Commentary is full of bugs, corners and free kicks are awful, gameplay is still not as fluid as PES, winning the ball can be ridiculous, AI is crap, and the feel for shot power is crap.

Can't wait for PES 2008 :)
 
Pro evo fan since 1999 here....
But I dont know if its the demo or what... but PES08 demo doesnt look that good... I cant see the faces of the player in game.. just in replays.. my PES06 look much better than PES08. Also I dont Know Why they run link girls in this new pro evo... damn messi run worse than my sister LOL!!!
 
Oh dear, another let down from EA Sports. How long will they be able to get away with this for? Shooting in FIFA 08 is a joke. There's no feeling of shot power or pace, it feels like they're chipping the ball towards goal every time.
