FIFA 21

So going on tonight, this rivals placement thing, my team is just the generic starter thing, will I be playing similar teams?
 
I played two games of Rivals tonight, got spanked 5-0 in one then won the other 4-2 against a bloke with a pretty good started team. Giroud the GOAT for me. Gonna wait until I maybe get the game before proceeding with that.

Still on the fence about it
 
Played 2 seasons matches with Wolves and then one UT rivals game, all easy wins. I guess the weird thing is how easy it is coming from FIFA 20, I literally cannot see anything new to learn...yet. I think I did try a drag back and it didn't work, that thing would nice to be shot of.

I haven't played FIFA for so long it feels nice to be back playing a football game however to early to say if this is an improvement. Shame there is nothing new on the UT menus, rivals is still going to be abused for objectives which is just a travesty tbh.

I am just going to do a RTG with my team, so far Cenk Tosum and Iwobi are tearing it up. Mee and Stones at the back :D
 
From watching streams I think drag-backs are still in there you just have too double flick or something.
I think dribbling while holding R1/RB is new but not sure how effective it is.
Also pressing both thumbsticks to control the runner rather than the ball carrier seems to be new and might be very useful.

Also it seems like crossing and corner goals are back.

Even though he is 81 rated he is very good and that 5* WF will be another reason as to why he is so expensive. I bought him for 20k and he's been a goal scoring machine for me.
 
Managed to get to about 250k just doing the SBC’s so far...

Got Joe Gomez and sold him for 90k, overpriced really.
 
Sorry to ask again, but just want to make sure.

I don’t have a PS4. Once Fifa is released for PS4, can I purchase the disc and then:

A) load it onto my PS5 when it arrives and then play it off the SSD without needing the disc (I’m sure I’ve read this can be done)?
B) then upgrade to the PS5 version for free through the store?

I believe if you buy the physical copy you will need to have the disc in the machine to play on both the PS4 and the PS5 when it is released.
 
Not buying it this year, too many good games to play, but have been playing around on the web app. Just pulled IF Vardy and IF Gomez from the same Marquee Matchup pack :o
 
Another year without fifa for me, think this is the 3rd one i have skipped now gameplay just seems awful again. The dribblings is just ridiculous add that with fake shots and drag backs with defenders that move like tanks theres no chance. Most annoying thing for me though is the passing no matter what settings i try the ball either goes 5yards away from the player im aiming at and throughballs just go nowhere near where i aim to play it.
 
Way too much of a counter attack simulator right now for me. Even with low depth I'm finding myself in there box trying to be composed and create an opening to then lose the ball and be hit on the break with only 2 men to try cover against opps 4 attackers no idea why.
