I quit at 11 games with 9 games left. I’m ok with defending until they inside my box pulling off skill moves. Normally ends up with me committing and them scoring. Ronaldo is a goal scoring machine.
Tried Neymar and his shot power let’s his finishing down.

Explain this 30 game malarkey to me. In rivals it says I've played 32/30 matches played. What does this mean?
Had to win the last game for Gold 3 and did. What can I say, just like FIFA 20 the game is still a total disaster, the majority of the goals were dodgy rebounds, failed tackles, kickoff goals, random headers, glitches...
I'm not doing that every weekend, absolutely horrendous and not enjoyable. I was often 2 goals up, and then end up with a 5-4 or 6-5 scoreline, no idea how or why, defenders all over the place.
A shame but there we are. I'd like to think patches will improve it but let's be realistic...

No idea with 32/30
I think the idea is you have 30 games in 7 days to gain points which affect ranking rewards levels in WL Div. rivals. I like the idea it stops people hammering Div rivals to get rank. Maybe they should be 30 games in each mode ? Like most things idea is good execution could be betterHad to win the last game for Gold 3 and did. I think calling it a total disaster is unfair, at least you can score and you have to make an attempt at defending. Auto blocks I have been talking about for years so I try my best to just accept them. Failed tackles yeah that's annoying
Auto blocks stop the scores being in double figures! I think they need to be there, it's far easier to score this FIFA and in the end there's no advantage, it's the same for both players. I think of all the issues over the years with FIFA that isn't one I list very highly.

Ai blocks need toning down massively I'm **** at defending but the lack of options once near and in the box is criminal. I hold the ball on the edge try find a gap or skill and get auto tackled and then most often countered.
I look forward to the through ball buff I hope it's done correctly.
Oh and once I hit 17 everyone was a constant pressure freak and smothered me, no idea what tactics that is and if it actually is constant pressure but jeez needs toning down.

Would be 10 - 10 every match without some AI defending assistance! (Unless they nerfed OP dribbling)

It does need some assistance but no where near what we have now. If that's the scoreline so be it, makes the better player stand out that for sure which after all is what fut champs should be about not luck, which in many games it comes down to both ways.

I've not bought the game this year but have been watching a bunch of streamers.
it's been quite funny watching them (most specifically Matt from TwoSync) as they go from co-op rivals saying how good certain players are and how good the game is to playing solo WL and complaining about those players and complaining about the game.
When Torres was going through tackles he was brilliant, then in WL when the other team are running through their tackles is so annoying!
Matt claimed that co-op was much harder than playing solo as he sits in Div 1, then finishes 16-14 in WL.
Lots of complaining about losing to scripting, not much mention of winning because of scripting.
Also notice how it's often the guys that have expensive teams that are claiming that "teams don't matter". Have heard Bateson saying that although he did say his team was carrying him in WL, although it seemed a bit like he was mocking the people that often says his team carries him.
And again the TwoSync guys constantly saying that teams don't matter and then spend most of the weekend buying and selling million coin players because this one wasn't working or that one wasn't working. surprising to see them put so much time into changing their team if indeed "teams don't matter". I mean I'd say a large number of the people they played had teams worth less than each of their top 2 or 3 most expensive players.
Then on Thursday you get tow watch these streamers pack half decent reds and act excited despite the fact they're unlikely to get anywhere near their team unless it's just to try them out.

Teams/players have always mattered at least as much as skill. Going from Ake/Tomori to Varane/Gomez has been an insane upgrade.

Castro is quite a good player. Few years ago on a rtg sure he got 26 or 27 out of 30.

Teams completely matter, the one thing that no-one can dispute about UT is that it's pay-to-win. If two players of equal skill play each other, the one with the team full of icons wins. @GoogalyMoogaly hit the nail on the head with his post, all of the plus and negative points of the game go both ways, but people don't see it like that, it's easier for them to rage. What I find the most ironic is people who have spent £1000s on their team, then properly go OTT celebrating their victories against people who haven't spent a penny on their 80-rated squad.
It's a game, enjoy it! I don't know why people play if they don't enjoy it, blows my mind.

Teams should matter otherwise where’s the incentive to upgrade to your ‘ultimate team’. How you choose to upgrade is another discussion. 
Yep, quite true, although you do get anomalies.
I do actually enjoy the FUT concept and everything about it, the communities etc, it's just hard not to get frustrated at some of the things that happen. I think we all do.
My biggest issue is that I change my team all the time, I've probably lost 400k in tax this past week alone
Is it better to have a balanced strong team or a decent but fairly mediocre team around one great player? I can never decide... I suppose at this early stage of the game, you want a good balance so you can't get caught out in defence so easily.
