FIFA Confederations Cup Brazil 2013 15-30 June *** Spoilers ***

I kind of don't blame the players for going down like they have been shot sometimes, I blame the referee's for not giving decisions so that players feel they have to go down like they've stood on a land mine.

I do agree with this at times. Refs need to learn that a player can be fouled and not go down. Currently, players have to go down to be awarded a free kick, which is a ridiculous situation.

Refs also need to learn that, occasionally, a player will lose his balance. Currently they seem to give a foul or a booking for diving, and have no middle ground.

That said, the Neymar one above is still utterly disgusting.

LOL brilliant gif:p

Sundays final should be interesting, cant see Spain having too much trouble dispatching Italy in the other semi tonight.

Spain who like to dive and roll around a lot and Brazil with Neymar who likes to dive and roll around a lot.

There are loads of times the ref doesn't give a foul or a yellow, all those times when people on here or the commentators bang on about how it has to be a foul or a yellow and they've given nothing for instance.

Likewise, lots of fouls are given when the player hasn't gone down, and going down and diving like a **** are different things. The level of diving is also apparent, many thousands of players worldwide don't dive half a dozen times a game, a handful of players in each league do dive constantly with no contact... so VERY clearly the ref giving fouls or not hasn't got a damn thing to do with if players choose to dive.

Some players are horrendous cheats, most aren't, most do it every now and then largely because as humans we act on impulse often and so its fairly natural to cheat on occasion. Those who go out of their way to cheat constantly are very obvious, have nothing to do with ref's decisions at all and shouldn't be excused in the slightest.

No one watching Spain VS Italy then?

Italy have looked really good so far, can't help but feel that they would've put away one of their early chances if they had mario on.

It's a bit of a pain, I often find that this Italian side have a habit of wasting chances in games where they are playing better.

From what I remember the first half of the Euro final they were a better side but totally wasteful and ended up 2-0 down which was then goodnight against Spain.

Hopefully Giuseppe Rossi can get some form back like he did in '10 and provide some backup/rotation with Ballo.

I find it quite strange to watch some of Spain's build up play, it's literately at walking pace at times lol

Torres made a good couple of runs last 5mins, no Spanish player even attempted to run with him.

Anyone know how many sides have held the world cup, continental tournament and the confederations cup at the same time? France and possibly Brazil?

edit: Actually maybe not even France.

edit2: Actually France have done the trio 98/00/01 and Brazil 02/04/05.
