Main event next. I hope Brazil can use their pace against Spain... I cannot watch another Spain passing game.
to be fair its actually quite nice to see some passing. better than a lump ball up the park. spain work with passing triangles to create the space for themselves. Its simple and it works, only attacking when there is a space to exploit.

Don't tell anyone its on, don't advertise, hide it on the website, don't put it anywhere(from what I could tell) on Sky at all, no half time pundit stuff, and cut it off the second penalties are done without any wrap up at all.
Its an interesting take on football coverage.... and certainly saves us from Savage, Lawro, Shearer and the like..... aside from the making it difficult to find thing, I'm liking the rest of it
The fact that Savage, Lawro, Shearer and co get paid so much by the BBC makes me die a little inside.
Looking forward to the final tonight, i like both teams but have a soft spot for Brazil. So am hoping that somehow they beat Spain. It will be interesting to see Spain with all their dominant possession against Brazil who like to attack and show some flair whilst doing it.
Still think Spain will win it but it will probably be 1-0 or 2-1...might even go to penalties but i doubt it.

Don't get me wrong, I love the way Spain pass but they seem to focus on passing more than trying to score. I want to see goals more than passing all game. Not playing Villa is a strict indication that Spain just want to hold onto the ball instead of right out attacking.
Brazil haven't really shown much flair in this tournament yet. Take Neymar out of things and its a pretty ordinary Brazil side. Even with Neymar its an ordinary side with a brilliant diver
They may well be focusing on the passing but as i said in my previous post they play the waiting game till they find a space to exploit to open up a shooting chance. But saying that in the last game I'm sure Iniesta poked the ball past a player and hopped through the smallest gap to latch onto his own pass albeit he didn't score. They just generally try to catch the opposition off guard.

Only chance Brazil have is if Spain are tired from Italy game. Brazil are so inferior to Spain i can only see 1 result. They were very lucky against Italy with ref decisions injuries i give them little chance tonight unless Neymar wins an oscar for diving and Webb is the ref.
'Should' be a great game , brazil playing the Brazilian way that everyone loved for decades , Spain playing the new Spanish way that everyone seems to love now , what can go wrong ? Don't think the tournaments important enough for a nervous stalemate and the brazilians at least looked well up for it during that anthem !

More events should turn down the music and let the crowd sing the anthem, makes the atmosphere sound so much better than some warbling bint or fat bloke signing opera-esque garbage.
