I think in a couple of years, sure, but he's still a huge commercial draw and too well liked. It will take time for the FA to dump a money earning player. Honestly if he's fit again I see him going and starting games or getting significant game time. I don't like to see players injured so I'll put it like this, I hope Rooney is still injured by the euros so there is no pressure to take him.
