FIFA World Cup 2014 - GROUP G [Germany, Portugal, Ghana, United States - 16/21/22/26 June] **spoiler

I saw him walking around Cardiff before the charity shield(iirc, been to two games there) between Arsenal and Chelsea, I was incredibly tempted to go up and punch him in the balls or something, I've hated him for that long. I honestly can't understand this commentary thing, firstly not knowing which commentators to bring and testing new people in a world cup seems unprofessional to me. Then no matter how bad some guys are, even for over a decade... they do not get rid of them. I've never spoken to anyone who likes Lawro or thinks he has a freaking clue what he's talking about.

I'm not a big Hansen fan but at least he tries to speak sense(or did at one time) and isn't so completely hateful.

He's got this depressing tone, and his views are always negative with little snide comments. Then the fact his brain melts down under minute usage as if it were trying to understand quantum theory. Eurghhh I despise he's being paid for this!

Portugal have done nothing all game to shut down that right channel of attack the U.S. keep using to run in.

Portugal have always been a pretty half-hearted team tbh. Not sure u have ever actually expected them to win a any game ever!

They did well, was it euros or the last world cup, a lot of the same players but they actually looked like a team. With a lot of the same spine it's quite odd they look so disjointed. But when they did do well(semi final, or quarter final was it?) it was the exception for me as they look like this than like a good team much more often.

Fair play to USA just goes to show what working as a team can do, I'd hope if we were in that group we'd of won both the games they have but I'm actually unsure we would have.

I have really enjoyed the BBC commentary, great idiotic banter between Simon Brotherton and Lawro.
