Beckham must be a bit bemused at the difference between Uraguayan and British press after his Argentina incident. The thought of Suarez crying at home at this result actually puts a bit of a smile on my face.
 
Letting Uruguay back in to this a bit, starting to get nervous and making poor decisions. That run a while back from Cuadrado, he got the foul but he ignored I think Rodriguez making the run opposite side of pitch in miles of space, then he ignored the overlapping run. Freekick came to nothing, they are making more mistakes and not really having many attacks at the moment. All leading to more pressure and conceding some shots on target now.

Cavani has put in some freaking fantastic crosses in this tournament.
 
Seems risky, while Uruguay still don't have that final quality, they've encouraged them on to them the entire second half, one goal now and the last 5 mins gets very tricky, Uruguay with all the momentum, taking off all their best attackers. It just feels like that defence was there for the taking after the first half. When they were attacking they weren't chasing the game, they were utterly dominating and Uruguay had no answer.

EDIT:- got to be over now basically, there we go, YES. Fantastic, no team I wanted out more and they played excellently, at least in the first half.

If they get a lead against a better team and try that second half I fear they could end up in trouble though.

No surprise Colombia advance, one of the best looking teams and Suarez put that team on his back doe.

Brasil lucky to be through, some ****e penatlies
 
Columbia's performance against Uruguay shows how rubbish our group was tbh. Italy, Uruguay and England have all had poor tournaments.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Costa Rica who coasted our group lose to Greece.
