FIFA World Cup 2018 - Final [15 July] **spoilers**

I'm from England - and assuming you're really asking about nationality. I'm British, born and educated. And I agree with everything Ocean Breeze posted in #482. Some despicable posts which have racist undertones.

Nothing new here. A fairly 'well thought of' person on these boards once had a thread asking why a certain race smelled bad. Sucks.

No, not because they are black, but because their families aren't even French. Even Griezmann's parents are from Germany and Portugal.

Stop diluting the meaning of that word.

That why you specifically said 'Africa' won it? Africa are not a country eligible to enter the world cup.

It's clearly easier to say the continent than list 12 or 13 countries, isn't it?

I wouldn't have noticed in the first place, and indeed didn't until someone on Twitter said they were happy France won because it's like an honourary African win or something, which made me look into the team.

Why state that 'Africa' won it when all the players have grown up in france, speak the language, and seem to be ingrained in the culture there.

So being born somewhere and living your whole life there doesn't mean you are from actually from there.................... ok.

England started the semi final with the same amount of foreign born players as France did.

Funny enough there are a few North African teams that pick a number of players who were not born in their country, most were actually born in France and qualify via parents.

I just had a look at Morocco's squad, out of 23 players, 17 were foreign born and at least 7 from France. I'm not criticising them for picking these players but highlighting the ridiculousness of the comments that France won it with foreign players, which is incorrect anyways.
