FIFA World Cup 2018 - Quarter-finals [6/7 July] **spoilers**

Sterling is infuriating.

He keeps missing chances but he is making good runs to get into those positions. Dilemma for Southgate

Shame for Sterling that as I actually thought he played pretty well, but his finishing, oh my god is it ever bad. He's the tap in king so if it's not 5 yards out into an empty net you just know he's missing.

Reminds me of Jason Roberts, the worst 1 on 1 finisher i've ever seen.

BBC ignoring this?....

Glad misses have happened, maybe finally the British media will start talking about how **** Sterling has been just about the whole tournament.

Man does not know how to score, what kind of an attacking midfielder has an international record of 2 goals after 40+ appearances.

If Sterling is going to bottle it in front of goal at least don’t be greedy and lay it off for someone else. The chance at the end of the half would have been 2-0 should he have passed it to Kane when he missed his first sitter.

Cracking. 1-0 up. Easily the better side. Sweden look weak coming forward and England keep making solid chances. Sterling should have made it 2-0 but he's been otherwise good. Dele looks out of sorts again, probably needs swapping out at half time.

Sterling needs to just get one then perhaps that’ll settle him for the rest of the tournament surely?!
Thing is, do you want someone who is always in a good space and makes chances and dithers every time or have someone who’s not as well positioned all the time but bangs then home each time...

Dele Alli needs to go away.
