Yes? How is reaching the quarter final and losing to the potential winners not a good result? It's like people forget that we haven't won anything for sixty odd years. Saying our record against the top 10 is bad is a bit silly when we did better than most of the current top 10.

Because it isn't winning? It's this kind of mindset as to why its been 60 years.

Again let that sink in, we've only won 4 times out of 24. Guess we should just settle on mediocrity

Ok so we sack a manager every time we don't win a tournament then? Lucky France didn't do that because now they're in the final. So who shall we hire for 2 years to win the Euros and then who do you want to hire when they don't?
 
I still think we still played better than France in the second half but it just wasn't our day and the ref made some dodgy decisions. Regardless, Not too fussed about Southgate staying on. Hopefully he can make something for us in 2024, we have a good squad and you can definitely see the improvement and togetherness. Removing Southgate now and replacing him will alter things even more and who knows what could happen, they'll have to adjust even more with a new manager.

Ahh so you know I'm right. Matter of fact is southgate is tactically clueless and gets found out against the top 10 teams - the stats dont lie.

I'm sure you can wait for him to become available in 2 years time to take over at the reins of utd
 
So who do you want to hire that wins the Euros in 2 years? You didn't answer the question. You're just switching to insults because you are realising how flimsy your argument is.

Poch, tuchel off the top of my head? We have one of the world's richest FAs - I'm sure they could figure it out.

And what's an insult? Calling Southgate cluess? Again he's shown he can't beat the top teams consistently

Also, Uk/Argentina don't have a good history not only related to football and I'd much prefer France to win it that the Argies.

I also think it's strange you have 2 posts here and both of them were quoting me on this subject. Am I finally getting the recognition I deserve? ;)

You started bringing up United as if that had anything to do with it. And no we offer wages far less than the big clubs so no, we can't attract the best. Poch would have to take a pay cut and possibly Tuchel would too. Those two (even if they were interested) are going to win it in two years are they? Based on what? Neither have ever managed internationally, neither are English (our record with foreign managers is dire), neither have any pedigree in international football and Poch in particular has never won anything notable. Can you put your hand on your heart and say those two are more likely to get success in 2 years or are you just saying those two because you've read them in the paper?
