i don't really see it. obviously decent players but the team doesn't jump out at me as being special. they'll probably get to the final now

Perhaps on paper, but they've been carp in recent matches. Germany has a history of being a bit of a "tournament side" but they will be need to be a near miraculous turn around in form for them to go much past the group stages.

Ah well, come on 'Scchhlaaaaannnndddd! (As they seem to be called over here).
 
Japan were awesome in their game against Belgium and were very unlucky to lose. They always lack the height though which was a major problem for them against belgium.
