There was nearly an hours worth of football played after this incident so im not sure why its so controversial infact id argue Germanys 4th goal was more controversial and there wouldnt be this kind of uproar had that sent them through.
That stupid other angle was bound to make it look out! Its like showing it from low down where the photographers perch behind the goal, it would look 6 inches in.
I haven't seen an angle where it looks out tbh. I assume all this controversy is just people who don't know the rules, or people who don't understand how spheres work...or Souness.
I'm sorry but that was very close and if it had been disallowed it would have been just as controversial. Thats the thing with these decisions. If they are that marginal then whoever is on the losing end will probably feel a bit aggrieved.
You pretty much always go out of the group stages of a competition from your own actions or lack thereof anyway.
Just ridiculous, that head injuries aren't taken seriously. Having no Blood replacements is another example on how far behind football is compared to other sports.
