Fifa09 Inconsistency?

I was gonna rant, but i want to know what everyone else thinks first.

I play fifa09 regularly online (xbox360) on ranked matches, cant stand be a pro because 99% of the matches are with other players who dont know there is anyone else on the pitch and play up front.

More often than not i will play as Manutd. Ive been getting increasingly frustrated lately when i will put a fantastic through ball to rooney/berba/ronaldo where i have at least 2 or 3 metres on the player then as soon as i have the ball the defender miarculously gets a turn of speed and is on me and tackled me.

I wouldnt be so bothered about this, but i cant for the life of me replicate this for my own defence.

And how obscenely good are Inter milan? many many times lately ibrahimovich has had 3 of my defenders around him and he has just shrugged them off and scored.

quite annoying, anyone else get the same? is it tactics or something im missing?

I find I cant get the ball of other players and also whenever I pass the ball there is ALWAYS an oppostion player that intercepts it. Also whne I am going to shoot there is always a defender in the way.

Im crap, so it could be the inconsistancy your speaking of.

Back on topic. I find that when I play with Man Utd or whoever, the speed of, say Evra is always faster for the other player and not me. Players like him who are very fast seem to be faster for others. Maybe its has something to do with the home advantage if there is any.

It's down to your reactions, the faster you react the faster the plays accelleration kicks in, and them upto top speed from there.

And yes, defenders most likely mill get back at you, I've noticed this myself and don't know how people do it, but I guess they will probably be thinking the same about you

again, as with the new Fable thread

Use the existing thread, we don't want to clog up the page with loads of threads when one will suffice, yes we have a fifa league and team thread also, but this doesn't need one...IMO

Not over rated, just I cant play very well. If I pick Man Utd online the other player probably thinking "oh here we go again" but little do they know they will whoop my ass.

Ive just been playing about against a friend who is pretty good, it seems that formation 4 2 3 1 works well against Inter, for me anyway with counterattck tactic selected.

I guess its just down to as someone said, reactions and the right tactics.

Come on wayne, your gonna have to try a bit harder fella, United are easily the best team on Fifa 09

I almost always play as Arsenal and will say that Bendtner is better in the air for me than Ade is on most occassions, he can get a lot of power on the headers, whereas Adebayor seems to work better for flick-ons. Ibrahmiovic is good to, as is Adriano. Both with plenty of strength and decent turn of pace too

think Carew has got to be the absolute don in the air though!

perhaps it is just me then. But it grates me how many times ive been done in the last minute because ibrahimovic/drogba/adebayor/adriano just shrug off 3 defenders , then get a few paces ahead and just tap it in, when in exactly the same situations at the other end rooney tevez and berba just get shunted off the ball and are so slow they cant run past anyone.
