My difficulty is set to Legendary (or whatever the top level is) and for some reason the Ultimate Team tournaments were set to Amateur difficulty.
 
I found that some AI teams set up defensively in the tournaments which is awesome. I.E. I was struggling to break down Porto as they had every man behind the ball, until I got my first goal in the 75th minute.

Then they were chasing the game and I won 3-0 :D
 
i couldnt find a option to change the difficulty, i always play on legendary, but yeh of course its on amateur

and btw dont sell all your **** players, make a new team, ive started to make other teams now, the tourneys you unlock have only 1 star and so on too, it saves you messing about with your team every single time you want to start a new tournament so you can enter it.

finally got my team sorted, ive been on a proper losing streak, i finally thought sod it and just forgot about the whole team stat bull, and i made 4 people in a row quit......but i found out that is not a good thing, because EA have messed up, if you are playing a tournament match and the other person decides to rage quit..you do not advance to the next stage, so i played 4 games, won them all by the other user quitting, but i was still at the first stage :), Yes i was very ******!

For the Silver/Gold card packs, is it coins OR £x.xx, or do you have to earn coins and pay for a pack?

Good to know you can change the difficulty!

Coins are what you earn playing the game with your team, so if you got 400 coins for winning a game then that's yours to keep or spend. Alternatively you can buy card packs with real money instead of coins.

Coins = money earned playing the game.

Also, I haven't found any way to change the difficulty in offline tournaments yet, it's just been stuck on World Class permanently.
 
I'm thinking of getting this - I used to play the UT 09 a hell of a lot.

Are there still contract cards? If your player gets to 0 days on his contract does he disappear like in the last one?

Wait.. there is a free trial.. I'll try that. lol

Its 400pts - thought it was 800! Sweet.

He won't disappear when his contract runs out, you just won't be able to use him until you use a contract card to renew his amount of games. :)
 
think i just got my two free gold packs and didnt collect them, when i opened them i pressd A on them all and they went away to were i assume was my team but they arnt there. what did i do?

Go to one of the players in your squad/subs/reserves hit square or x depending if your on ps3/360

Then select "Swap with my Club"
