File and Folder Comparison Checker.

Has anyone got any recommendations for file and folder comparison checkers.

I've got two folders with 130-150,000 files, that's 50-65GB of info. I need to be able to compare the two quickly and preferably easily. I also need to be able to take out all the files that are identical and be able to move the newer and new files into the target folder over writing the old ones.

Willing to pay for the right tool if that's what it needs.

I've always used Beyond Compare for this, very comprehensive.

With a bit of tweaking you could probably do this free with robocopy

Another vote for Beyond Compare, don't know how I coped without it TBH

Foldermatch does what you ask and a lot more.
I use these quite a bit for my job and Foldermatch I find more intuitive than Beyondcompare.

Thanks for the suggestions. Looked at quite a few and ended up using WinMerge. Nice little open source app, really has saved my backside.

WinMerge. Despite the name it also does diffs.

SyncBack is my backup software and it does standalone comparisons if anybody wants another suggestion..
